Part 7

I had just finished packing my bag for Cali's when Pastel burst into my room, "Alyyyyyyyyy I need help", with her bag in hand she flops onto my bed face first into my sheets making me roll my eyes. "You're still not packed!!" The only response I get is a sound of agreement that's mumbled in the sheets. "We leave in ten minutes!! Come on get up." She lifts her head off the bed before groaning while I rush her towards her room. Five minutes later, we are both packed and downstairs on the couch. We are about to leave when Nightmare and the gang portals into the lounge room. 

Our brother looks towards us and at our bags before giving us both a questioning look, "Where are you two going?" The rest of the gang gets comfortable on the couches with Dust giving me a smile and a wave to which I respond with my own smile and a small blush on my face. "Cali's for a sleepover!" The sound of Pastel's voice cuts me out of the gaze where I turn back towards my siblings, seeing the knowing look on Pastel's face making me blush a bit more which I quickly cover-up. Nightmare looks like he is about to say something else but he stops himself before looking toward me with his protective brother mode on. "Be careful ok?" I knew what he was going to say before the words left his mouth, but all I could do in response was nod and give him a quick hug. Pastel follows suit before she whispers something to Nightmare making him look shocked before pride fills his face. What did Pastel say? Was it about me? The thoughts come to my mind while Night gives her a tighter hug before he finally lets her go. After we say a quick bye to the gang with my eyes lingering a bit longer on Dust as we gaze at each other with the same intensity before we break eye contact as we portal to Cali's. 

As we go through the portal we land just outside the front door, I look down at Pastel as she rights herself up and looks up to me. I knocked on the front door expecting Cali to answer but instead we saw Ink, he looked relieved until he saw us and it dimmed before he put a smile on his face and let us in. "Hey girls! How are you Aly?" He turned worried again as he looked over at me for injuries. Ink has been there for me when Cross wasn't around yet he was the person I would go to talk too about stuff I didn't want my brothers knowing. "I'm feeling better! Where is Cali??" He smiles in relief before sighing at my question "She went for a quick walk, she's been locked inside for a few days so I let her out for a bit, you wanna go find her?" I look towards Pastel who is smiling to herself which makes me sigh before she snaps out of it looking towards me and nodding, "Sure!!" 

We start walking and looking through the windows seeing if she is in any of the aus, when we look across the endless windows of au's and notice two figures in front of Outertale. Cali's favourite au. As we move closer we gasp in surprise at the scene in front of us. Cali is standing in front of someone who looks to be giving her a head pat. At first I thought it was Template, but when I looked closer I saw it was Error!?! But Cali likes Template and doesnt Error like Ink??? Beside me I feel Pastel tense up, oh shiz I forgot about that. So you see, Pastel sorta kinda has a one-sided crush on Cali. Yeah it's bad, because Cali likes Template, Template likes Cali, so Pastel has no hope. I look down to her and grab her hand gently squeezing it in reassurance before we walk forward and confront the two. 

Cali finally took notice of us as she quickly turned towards Error, "Error?" In response he looked towards us and they quickly separated. I could still feel how tightly Pastel was holding my hand, making me a little annoyed now. "What's going on here?!?" I walked closer accusingly towards Cali with Pastel being dragged behind me. Why would she do this? How could she do this? All the anger from the hurt that my little sister was feeling right now was making my head spin. "Aly it's not what you think, we were just leaving, right?" My anger was getting the best of me as I felt Pastel hide behind me. Now it was just Cali, as I look towards her I see sincerity in her eyes, I take a deep breath as I feel Pastel squeeze my hand reassuringly again as she locks eyes with me. Without speaking words I know what she is saying Breathe Aly, Maybe there is some sort of explanation. I thank her silently with a light smile as I look back up towards Cali with a look saying I want answers now.
