"I'm still surprised you actually came" Childe said, filling his cup with wine. Aether and Childe spoke about a few things before Aether finally asked the question that had been lingering in his mind since he got the letter. "Why did you want to meet me?" He asked. "Do i need a reason to see you?" Childe answered, keeping his eyes on the drink in his hand. "You know i'm on quite an important journey, i came here because i thought you were in trouble." Aether said while looking worried. Childe didn't answer. He just kept staring at his drink.

Then suddenly, he downed his drink and slammed it on the table. "I've made my decision!" He said, finally looking at his guest. "What decision?" Aether asked curiously. "I'm leaving the Fatui!" Childe said as he stood up from his seat. Out of shock and disbelief, Aether mimicked Childe and stood up as well. "What?" Aether couldn't believe what Childe had just said to him. Sure Childe often acts a little crazy and he might not be 100% sane, but this was ridiculous! It's not that Aether wasn't happy, it's just that the Fatui isn't the type of organization that you can quit whenever you feel like it. Leaving the Fatui might as well cost you your life! "Are you sure? I mean, it's not that i don't support you, it's just that i'm worried about you." Aether said, looking straight into the ginger's eyes. "Oh i'm sure." Childe said proudly. "Don't worry, all i have to do is defeat the rest of the Fatui and then the Tsaritsa." He followed, making the whole thing seem like a walk through the park. "you're crazy" Aether said, trying to convince Childe to think logically, but he wouldn't listen. He took Aether in his arms and started dancing around the room as he talked about what he was gonna do when he defeats the Tsaritsa.

"Alright, I'm convinced that i can't change your mind about leaving the Fatui." Aether said as he let go of Child. "But why did you need to tell me this?" He said, as he took a step back to put some distance between them since he was a little dizzy from all the dancing and spinning. "Because, my dear Aether~" Childe took Aether by the hand and got on one knee like he was going to pledge his love for the boy. "I want you to stand next to me when I'm all the way at the top." Childe said as he looked Into Aether's golden eyes. "But why me?" Aether couldn't bare to let go of Childe's hand neither could he bring himself to break eye contact with the man. "I can't tell you yet." He said, closing his eyes. "But i promise you Aether, you will always be my first and only choice."
