"I'm back."

"Farren, what did my mother say?"

Medenna quickly got up from her seat as soon as Farren returned to the office.

She seemed to have waited for his return.

Farren skillfully changed his expression and reported to her.

"She asked me about the Lucas Mercenary Guild. She knew that I was in charge of most of it."

"Yes... I didn't tell her, but I thought she knew."

"She didn't seem to blame or want to interfere with it. I guess the countess just wanted to ask about it."

"I see..."

"You don't have to worry too much."

Medenna approached Farren and caressed his cheek.

"...You didn't hear anything bad, right?"

"Not at all. She advised me to take good care of Medenna."

Medenna's mother was wise and fair. She wouldn't scold Farren, the person Medenna supported because of her.

As he said, it was highly likely that it was nothing much.

Nevertheless, she felt strangely anxious about it.

It was like she was still missing something.

It was a strange feeling.

"I think the countess will be busy preparing Medenna's debutante for the time being. That's probably why she was worried."

"Then, I'll bring some information before I check your next schedule. Please wait."

Farren kissed the back of her hand, before leaving the office.

"Yes. If anything really happens, my mother will tell me first."

Medena decided to focus on what she had to do right away.

A black-haired boy got off the silver-decorated carriage.

He stepped onto the ground first and then grabbed the hand of a gray-haired, middle-aged woman.

"You said we'll meet at that abandoned building?"

"That's right, I offered them another place but they refused."

"That means they don't have any intention of backing down from that place. Oh well, shall we go then?"

"Okay."

The Laugel people must've been afraid that they would use armed guards, so he would only meet with two people.

Farren kept the promise and put the servants on standby near the carriage as he headed to the place with Sein.

Since Farren alone was able to control any situation with magic anyway, he didn't care whether he brought other people or not.

After passing through a narrow alley where it was difficult for carriages to enter, they reached their destination, the abandoned building.

"Oh, you've arrived."

A clear voice echoed between the empty buildings.

Farren raised his head in the direction of the voice.

By the window on the 2nd floor, a healthy looking young man was spotted.

He was sitting on a chair.

"Hmm, he must be of mixed race among the Laugel people."
