Okay I couldn't control myself from posting. :-)

The next couple of days were obscured to Shivaay. It unfolded into a normal to check on Annika -discreetly to be specific- after his long lectures. Stalking? No, it was a genuine concern. He indirectly made sure that she was attending all the classes regularly. No, he wasn't a father or guardian but he saw her as the little sister of his best friend.

Nothing more than that.

He was on the basketball court dribbling the ball when a veneer stops ahead of him. It was too familiar. Annika. His best friend's sister.

"I didn't understand a few words in the briefings of the St. Sebastian property case." She jumped a little to reach him and mumbled with a small laugh.

Shaking his head Shivaay let go of the ball and lead the way to his bag only after gesturing for his teammates to resume the game. A few seconds later when he reached the end of the court he turned to the huge tree and grabbed his phone that rested put there.

"You have a password? Great." Annika peeked into view his mobile screen and muttered. "When's your birthday? What month?" She asked with great curiosity about his personal life.

"The day my mother went to the labour." He pressed his lips as he replied with sarcasm oozing out his words. Hearing his answer she twisted her mouth and went on looking at his phone screen.

Not wanting to embarrass he went ahead explaining the briefing on the case he studied. He also clarified his writing style, which was mostly cursive with style.

"Could you give me your contact number? Instagram, mail Id, anything is fine."

"Excuse me?" He gasped with his eyes wide open similar to the saucepan. "Why do you want it? If you have any questions regarding your studies you can reach out to my dorm and seek permission. Or I will be here on campus."

Gulping, yet with an as little smile lingering on her lips, she answered. "Bhaiya told me that he lost his contact details because his mobile fell into the water. So he wanted me to ask your number."

"Can't he use backups?"

"Uhmmm- well he seems to have forgotten the passwords."

"How does he have your number?"

"Excuse me?" She sneered. "I'm his only and beloved sister."

"Okay. Tell him that I will call him tonight." Saying so Shivaay started walking to the court leaving her behind.

"Don't. He is busy." Alas, he didn't give ears to her.

Pretty lie. It got me in trouble. Annika stomped her foot as she ran chasing after him.
