That was his final night in the boardinghouse and for some reason, he wanted to meet her before his family reaches for his graduation day.

He struggled to ascend the enormous pipe of the girl's hostel which ended straight at the patio. He didn't dare to consult the hostel warden likewise he did three years back.

He blew a sigh of relief watching her lean against the room balcony railings.

"I understood! Aditya is me! Shahid played both Aditya and Kabir." He exclaimed highly still gripping the pipe with his palms and legs crossed.

She gazed at him. And then scared.

"I'm so dumb! In the span of these three years, you have been my friend for whom I started feeling hard and romantically. You were more than my best friend's sister. I'm so sorry it took me so long to realise."

Annika cautiously glanced down and tried helping him climb up however he was reluctant.

"So?" He asked impatiently.

"So what?"

"Please don't poke fun at."

"Okay! I was sixteen when my view of perspective towards you changed. I had my life planned. You were no longer that mean boy who snatched away my Bhaiya from me and later I realized that brothers-in-law need to have unique relations beforehand."

Shivaay laughed hearing her.

"What are you doing here at this time? A boy in a girls' hostel? My God! Precisely in midnight." Annika swivelled her head while Shivaay jacked up his head heeding to the warden's strong and screeching voice.

"Her grandmother died ma'am." Shivaay submissively answered, with his twitching lips.

"Omg!" Annika gaped.

"How many times has her grandmother died? Don't give up such excuses. I want you two in my room in the next two minutes. Now!"

Nodding to her Shivaay started skimming down the pipe until Annika stretched her hands through the window.

"I lied to her once I came to talk to you." Shivaay honestly answered.

"So you decide to fake my grandmother's death? How cheap." Annika crossed her arms and fumed.

"That day I said it was a dare asking for your contact information, but I lied." She said realising he waiting for her response.

"I stan Messi, not Ronaldo. I lied to continue the conversation."

"So pretty lies?" Annika wriggled her brows and laughed heartily.

"Yeah." Flushing he scraped his nape and hid his face over his shoulders.

"So?"

"So what?" She asked.

As a response Shivaay slid down the floor on his knee. Annika gasped, slapping her hands on her mouth.

"I talk less. I'm a mute jackass like you say. However, would you be the voice of my life? I'm sounding cliche, ignore it. Will you be my girl-" she nodded, while he shook his head and continued, "-no my future wife. Will you make my best friend my brother-in-law?"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" She chanted cheerily rushing to his height and crushing him in a bone-crushing hug.

"Ahem!" In an instant, the warden re-entered clearing her throat. "You can complete this proposal later. You both need to meet the department head for violating the rules."

"Come, let's solve." Annika giggled helping him to stand.
