"Ajith isn't that hard enough though he is messier," Shivaay concluded over the phone with his best friend Sid.

A couple of days after the fair well Shivaay had immersed himself in finding that particular friend of Sid who was hard and messy. He tried all the ways yet he couldn't get what he wanted. He also checked the common friends both shared yet no one was similar to Kabir Singh.

His heart broke. His blood pressure rose at the thought of Annika next to someone. And that someone wasn't him or Sid, her brother.

Jealousy was slowly slipping into him. All this while her attention was on him, he too enjoyed the conversation both had, however, now she was always on the phone which angered him.

Somewhere along the lines of his heartbeats, he had hoped. He hoped he was Aditya Kashyap of Geet Dhillion but alas she wanted to be Preeti Sikka of Kabir Rajdheer Singh.

His anticipation drowned.

"Why are you investing this? Wait. Is it serious? Like, you have already spent a week on this, tell me what is the matter?" Sid asked over the line.

"I- I will straight come to the point."

"Okay?" Sid sounded disturbed.

"Your sister Pooh likes someone from our friend circle. Precisely yours."

"WHAT?" Sid shrieked.

"She says he seems to be next Kabir Singh." Shivaay bit his trembling lips in hopes of not having a crying session.

"You talk to her? Like before you never talked to her. What kichadi is cooking?"

"I like her. But she-" unable to control his sobs Shivaay let it out freely and cried. Sid was amazed at the things turning. He felt sad for his BFF but a brother in him overpowered him.

"The first day of college she came to me and then it continued. We are best friends, kind of."

"Best Friend? What about me?"

That kaamina friend was Sid.

Over possessive friend.

"No. You are my best friend. Please help me."

"So she wants an angry young man?" Hearing a small yes as a mumble, he continued. "So... Per my knowledge, there is only one fellow with those qualities."

"Who?"

"Your rival, our ex-friend, Abhinav Shinde. You can go bash him any way I don't like him. You are better, I guess."

Okay, loving is different from that liking. Loving comes over years.
