As Toni lays unmoving on the cold concrete struggling for breath as she watches the love of her life leave she wants to screams out 'please don't leave me here alone' the only thing that comes out?
"That Shield doesn't belong to you, you don't deserve it, my father made that shield" she spits out and watches as Steve drops the shield and walks out with Bucky, she can do nothing but stare at their retreating figures as they leave she closes her eyes
"Friday?" She calls out hoping praying her A.I is still there
"Please? I don't want to die alone" she chokes out she hasn't felt anything below her waist since Steve threw her she knows she's paralyzed
"I'm here boss" she sighs out a small laugh tears blurring her vision
"Send the files release everything" if she's going down she's taking Ross and the rouges with her she can feel her breaths getting shallower with each second
"And make sure everyone knows I'm sorry, can you do that please?" Toni chokes out, tears streaming down her face, she can feel her heart hammering against her chest the way the air in her lungs gets sucked out with every little breath she takes
"Help is coming boss" the Irish voice sounds through the room almost with a pleading tone, Toni sobs lightly
"They won't make it in time, it's ok just make sure everything gets done, you are my greatest invention fri I'll miss you" the A.I promises to do as her creator.. no her mother asks and the sound of helicopter blades run through the air Toni smiles sadly as she hears the shouting and yelling to find her but it's to late she's to far gone
"Toni!" She can hear the voices of vision and pepper she slowly turns her head as pepper runs in
"Hey pep" she whispers painfully
"Oh god no please I FOUND HER!" Toni lightly shakes her head
"It's ok pep it's ok" pepper runs her hand through Toni's hair soothingly while sobbing
"What did they do to you?" Pepper sobs out Toni smiles her eyes filling with tears yet again and looks at the eyes of her best friend for the last time
"I'm sorry" the last thing Toni hears as her eyes close and she welcomes the darkness was pepper yelling and pleading Toni to wake up
As the Infinity stones watch on in sadness they realize this should have never happened she was supposed to live none of this was meant to happen, time and soul see their brothers and sisters fallen faces and decide to do something drastic they send Toni's soul back to a point in time where her previous soul was in limbo
