ME, INSIDE OUT

CHAPTER 4

"I've never been in a relationship before but if that's what it feels like, that's nice," she said. She just got out of the genre. "Romance was fun but now let's try something else," she said.

She pondered for a while. "How about a slice of life next," he said. She entered the genre. "Time to get transported to another world," she said.

She got transported once again. She was back in the same place. The game screen appeared right in front of her.

Her name is Alex. She's mute. Her parents are abroad so she lives with her uncle and aunt. She got transferred to another school. She almost killed somebody, it read.

She pressed the start button. She closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes, she was in front of a school. "This must be my new school," she thought. She entered the school.

When she entered, everybody was gossiping about her. She just ignored them. She went to the office to find her homeroom teacher. All the teachers gave her weird looks.

"Isn't she the one who hospitalised a student?" One of the teachers whispered. She pretended to not hear it.

She met with her homeroom teacher. "You must be Alex Walker," her homeroom teacher said. She nodded. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Mrs. Jones," she introduced herseld.

Mrs. Jones signalled for Alex to follow her to class. The class was noisy but when she entered everybody was quiet.

"Today, we have a new student. Her name is Alex. Please be nice to her. You may sit at the back," she said. She went to her seat.

The teacher left the class. "Hey, transfer student," Kara said. Alex didn't respond. Kara went to her table. Alex took out her notebook.

She wrote, "Sorry, i'm deaf." Kara was shocked. She started to tease her. She went to go write on the blackboard. It was all just to mess with her.

Dominick was asleep. When he woke up, he saw Alex. She didn't look happy. He looked at front and saw Kara was writing bad things about her.

Kara approached her. "What are these in your ears? Let me see," she immediately pulled it out. Alex winced and her ears startes to bleed.

She ran to the bathroom. Kara was laughing at her. Dominick stood up and went to Kara. "Dom, hey, you're awake," Kara said. She was trying to flirt with him. He just ignored it.

He snatched the hearing aids from her hands. "What do you think you're doing, Dom?" She said. She tried to get it back. He walked away. She pulled him. "Let go, Kara. I don't have time for this," he pushed her away. He left. She felt annoyed.

He went to the bathroom to clean the hearing aids. Alex was washing her face. Then, somebody pushed her. It was Kara.

She kept pushing Alex and splashing water on her. She kept pushing her until the bathroom stall.

"I don't get what he sees in you. You're just deaf. There's nothing special about you," she mocked.

They ripped her clothes and locked her in the bathroom stall. They were cackling. Dom was waiting for her outside of the bathroom.

Then, he saw Kara walked out with her gang. He had a bad feeling. He grabbed her wrist. "Where's the new girl?" He asked. "I don't know," Kara said. She was pretending to be innocent.

"What did you do to her?" He asked. He was getting furious. He ran into the toilet. He heard a knocking. He went to the stall.

He opened it. She was afraid and cold. He gave her his jacket. He lifted her up. "Are you ok?" Dom asked. She nodded.
