"Fay where have you been."
"Mom"
"Oh sorry honey. Dawson."
"Me and Rae were getting some ice cream. Then I had to get some gas."
"Oh ok dinner is almost ready." I look at my watch. It's 5:00. I was out for that long?  "Oh ok thanks." I walk inside and go up the stairs into my room. My parents were kind enough to give me my own room. Well it's not really a room. I live in the attic. I have 3 other sisters. The twins are a year older. And then there's Cassie who's six. Lauren and Taylor share a room. And Cassie sleeps with mom and dad. My room is painted black and bad posters are scattered across the walls. To get to the attic you have to go up to the second floor then go up the ladder. I'm glad I'm not clumsy. Or I would definitely be dead by now. "Hey d. How was school." I hear my dad call to me while I'm waking down the stairs. I walk into the kitchen and see my dad cooking dinner. He's making his usually. Spaghetti and meatballs. "Ms Duncan gave me another detention." He laughs. "Let me guess you fell asleep in class again." I roll my eyes. "It is tool cold up there dad. And that tree. Kept racking the window." He laughs. And continues cooking. I go sit on the couch and wait for dinner. We usually have the normal American dinner. Eating food in the living room while watching tv. Mom and dad both go into the kitchen. Which is kinda odd. I can hear them talking. And I hear my mom say "should we tell them?" The next hour was the worst turn of my life.
