Lucy's P.O.V
"Who told you to follow me outside?", tanong ko sa kanila, nilakihan naman ako ng mata ni Jenn at sinimangutan ako ni Peisha.
"Oh! Who just save your stubborn ass? Us, right? Duhh we're coming with you wether you like it or not. We are a team, remember?", she even have the guts to roll her eyes on me. Umigting na lang ang panga ko at nanatiling nakatingin sa labas.
Walang mga tulong na dumating ayon sa kanila. They just told them to stay where they are and be safe until they find a safe place to stay. I told them early to be ready on what's coming. Now that it happened, we are experiencing the final consequences.
I am true to my words, and I hate liars. They didn't believe me when I'm telling them the truth. It's reasonable in a wrong way though, because they thought I'm spreading fake news, parang hindi naman kasi kapani-paniwala, pero nangyari pa rin. Now that zombies are all over the world.... and since I'm the first one to witness it, I think I'm the one responsible for finding the cure.
I sigh. I hope my family stays safe, that I know I'm relieved. But my eyes widened when I remember something missing.
"My phone", malamig kong sabi sabay lahad ng kamay ko sa harap nila. Dali dali namang gumalaw si Trisha at binigay sakin ang cellphone ko. Nang makuha ko yun ay agad kong binuksan yon para tawagan si mama.
It is safe to call coz I know they follow all my instructions and their cellphones must be in a silent mode....
"Hello, anak?", inaantok pang sabi ni mama. I sigh in relief, nagkatinginan pa kami ni Unnie May sa rear view mirror.
"Is everything alright there? Did something happened the time I'm not around?", tanong ko. Humihikab pa siya bago sumagot.
"Ayos lang kami, anak. Wala naman nangyaring masama dito bukod sa nag-umpisa ng lumaganap ang virus. Salamat at ligtas parin hanggang ngayon. Natatakot na nga kami dito buti tumawag kana, di kana ba busy dyan sa bahay?", ani mama. Kumunot ang noo ko.

Matalim kong tiningnan si Unnie May na nakatingin ulit sa akin ngayon ngunit ibinalik niya rin ang tingin sa kalsada.
"I'm.....not busy now, Mom", sabi ko.
"Eh okay lang ba kayo dyan? Nag-aalala parin ako kasi napahiwalay ka samin. Nagkalat na ang mga zombies sa paligid, Lucy. Paano ka pa makakapunta dito?", nag-aalalang aniya. I sigh and look outside again.
"We're on our way there, mom. Don't worry", pagkasabi ko non ay napasinghap pa siya.
"Stay quiet, Mom. Infected might hear or sense you there. Tahimik pa naman ang paligid ngayon", sabi ko.
"Pero delikadong lumabas ngayon, Lucy. Pano na lang kapag may nakasalubong kayo? Ayaw kong mapahamak kayo, anak", aniya sa mahina at mariin na boses.
"Magpapaalam lang ako, Mom. Pakihintay na lang kami dyan. Wag kayong lalabas. We will clear the area so that you will all remain safe", sabi ko.
"Ano? Hindi kita maintindihan, anak. Anong mag-papaalam? Ayos ka lang ba talaga? Baka naman pinapagod mo ang sarili mo, Lucy wag ka ng pumunta dito. Delikado", sabi niya.
"I'll tell you later, Mom. Malapit na kami. Pakihintay na lang kami dyan, bye ho", said and end the call. Napalunok ako at sumandal bago pumikit.
They didn't know what the hell happen to me?.....good thinking....
"What did you tell my mom?", I asked but they develop a new habit and that is to stay silent whenever I'm asking.
