Souls of miscarried children, people who have been hanged, convicted as villains. All of them were to be turned into huge black birds after death, influencing atmospheric phenomena. But not only that. They loved to go down to earth and seduce people (hence in today's dictionary of Polish phraseology there is Polish "Latawiec / Latawica" as a synonym for sexually promiscuous people). And it was this last activity that made the idea of ​​a fiery serpent in Polish folklore change over time.By the clergy, they began to be associated with the large, lascivious air devils. Their favorite pastime is harassing honest and godly women at night ... to persuade them to commit the sin of impurity, of course.What were the people saying among themselves?
