Chapter 5. The journey to the end

"Peddle faster," Brandon and Dylan screamed to the youngest who was Kyle. Kyle breathlessly said, "I know. I'm trying." They all peddled but then a strange car was coming bending them. "Who is that?," Dylan said. "Oh no. It's the guy who mom sold the crystal ball to. Leave the bikes," Brandon screamed. All three of them got off of their bikes and ran. Brandon carefully ran examining the crystal ball now and then. But the man from the antique shop caught up with them. Kyle was the slowest. The man grabbed Kyle and knocked him down. He held on the Kyle tightly threatening to kill him. Kyle screamed and the man slapped him. Dylan and Brandon turned to see. "No!," Dylan screamed as he ran back to help his brother. Brandon followed. The man kept hitting Kyle who had started screaming so much that Brandon's ears starting ringing. Brandon took out the crystal ball and whispered "crystal ball. We need your help. I am sorry that my mom shattered you. Thanks for making me able to walk. But right now I need you to hit that man, knock him down, anything to save Kyle so we can go and bury you and make sure that you are safe." In thick black letters the crystal ball printed 'sure son'. Meanwhile, Dylan was kicking the man and screaming at him to let go of Kyle. Brandon they the crystal ball. It hit th man on the head. The man grunted and cursed as he hit the ground. The crystal ball had put him to sleep for a little while. You lay on the ground. For him, the world seemed to spin. Dylan and Brandon ran to Kyle. "Are you okay?," Dylan and Brandon both asked in unison. Kyke did not answer but just lay on the ground staring a the sky with a blak expression on his face. Dylan must have gotten scared because bent down and shook Kyle. Kyle Ethernet back to reality and said "I was so scard. But I am okay now." He sat up. Brandon call Ed the crystal ball which came to him. He put it away safely. They both helped Kyle up and started to walk slowly toward the trail. When they got there they all agreed to hide the crystal ball in a different place. They found the perfect spot. They dug a hole. In the middle of digging their hole Kyle sat down and said "I can't do it. I not know what that man did but....I don't know.....I just can't." Dylan and Brandon shared a worked look. They told Kyle to sit down while they dug the hole. Then they put the crystal ball in it and buried it. Then all three of the, turned back and to their surprise the man was there. He smiled a creepy smile. Then he grabbed Kyle again shaking him ferociously. Dylan and Brandon started screaming at the man to let go. Kyle was dizzy. The man cursed. Then there was the flash. The man yelled "my eyes". He fainted and vaporized. Kyke fell to the ground. He could not stand. He was too dizzy. Dylan knelt down besid Brandon and pleaded him to get up. Just the there were sirens. Polices cars pulled up. Police men ran. Dylan and Brandon told the story and the police actually believed them. Brandon did not know that the story was so believable. The police left because the man was not there. They hardly noticed Kyle laying on the ground. Dylan realized that his weak brother would not make it back on foot so he did his best to carry him. After they went back to the resturant to their worried parents, they all went home. Brandon to went to his house. And Dylan and his dad went to their house while Kyle and his mom went to the hospital to make sure Kylewas okay. Kyle was okay and their lives finally went back to normal. At last!
