CHAPTER SEVEN:
The Shoot
Maia Hestia Qarinah's Point of View
I was inside my dressing room and Aria was focused on applying make-up on my face when someone barged in. Aria stopped for a while and I glanced at Miss Walter who entered the dressing room.
Inaayusan na kasi ako dahil magsisimula na ang shoot pagkatapos ng isang oras.
"What should we do? The male model we hired can't come and we can't postpone today's shoot," she informed us. Napatingin naman ako kay Miss Tracy na napatigil sa pagpili ng wedding gowns sa rack.
Kailangan kasi ng male model dahil by partner ang shoot ngayon. We will act like a couple in the shoot for the advertisement and photos.
"Are there no available male models?" Tanong naman ni Miss Tracy. Napasulyap sa kaniya si Miss Smith at umiling lang ito. Bumuntong-hininga ako at humarap na ulit sa vanity mirror ko. We can't postpone today's shoot because I had plans with Dagon later.
Aria resumed what she was doing when my phone vibrated. I reached for my phone and saw who sent me a message. My eyes dilated when Dagon sent me a text message that he was outside of the building.
What is he doing here? Napatingin ako sa oras at 9:03 AM pa lang. Mamayang hapon pa niya ako susunduin. Huminga ako ng malalim at agad na nag-reply sa kaniya na nandito ako sa loob ng dressing room.
"Uy kabebe time niya si Sir Dagon," pang-aasar ni Aria sa akin na buhok ko na ang inaayos niya. Napangiti ako sa kaniya mula sa vanity mirror.
"He's outside, Aria," I informed making her stopped from what she was doing.
"Sakto, Miss Qarinah. Gwapo at pang-model si Sir Dagon. He can be the substitute," Aria suggested making my forehead creased. Bigla ko namang naisip kung papayag ba si Dagon na maging ka-partner ko ngayon.
I mean, sinabi niya sa akin na hindi pa siya nagt-try mag-model. Well, pwede namang i-try na niya ngayon.
"Aria is right, Qarinah. Tell Mr. Montealpha to come here and we can ask him if he can be the substitute," pagpapayag naman ni Miss Tracy. Huminga ako ng malalim dahil mukhang hindi ko na sila mapipigilan sa gusto nila.
Sabagay, pati ako ay gusto ko rin. It would be fun if Dagon will be my partner.
"Montealpha? Mr. Dagon Zach Maximus Montealpha?" Nagtatanong na sambit ni Miss Smith. Well, hindi na ako nagulat pa na kilala niya si Dagon. Dagon is famous worldwide. He's like an instant celebrity.
"Yeah, he's perfect to be Qarinah's partner," tugon ni Miss Tracy.
"Great idea. Mr. Montealpha is one of our major and biggest stockholders and he's really fit for this role but I'm afraid that he'll refuse again this time," Miss Smith told us. Ah so isa sa mga stockholder si Dagon.
And what does she mean that he'll refuse again? Did they try to scout him as a model before? Sabagay, gwapo talaga si Dagon at pwede talaga siya pumasok sa showbiz industry.
"He will, Miss Smith. Qarinah can talk to him. I'm sure, Sir Dagon will agree without any hesitation," Miss Tracy assured making me glance at her spot.
Mukhang confident siya na mapapapayag ko si Dagon. Napatingin naman siya sa akin at kumindat. Napangiti naman ako sa sinabi niya. Sana nga ay pumayag si Dagon. Well, I'll try my best.
"Oh, are you and Sir Dagon in a relationship?" Naiintriga na tanong ni Miss Smith. Napatawa naman si Aria sa tabi ko at napangisi naman si Miss Tracy.
"Future, Miss Smith. Future boyfriend," Miss Tracy responded making Miss Smith beamed with happiness.
