As you may or may not have heard, yesterday afternoon there was a school shooting in Texas. 19 third graders were killed, along with the teacher.
It's awful that kids are dying because there are horrible people in the world who want to harm children, for doing absolutely nothing to them.
Guns were created to kill. In America, we shouldn't have the right to own a gun. People wouldn't need to defend themselves if other people didn't have guns.
Other countries don't have lockdown or active shooter drills. It's just America, because we are the only country who has the right to own a gun.
500 people are killed from guns per day. That's right, per day. This isn't the country kids should have to live in.
Think about it: 19 kids who were asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" And never got to achieve the answer they gave.
19 kids who will never grow up to see our world grow into an accepting place
19 kids going to school and never coming home.
19 kids who had their dreams stripped away.
Please, PLEASE, pray for these families, they must be going through so much.
