Jake sipped the last glass of wine in his hands, he close his eyes shut as he sighed. He had no idea how to fix this at all. It's like a forever phase where nothing seems to be right, just as you think things were fine, it'll eventually turn into one of your darkest fear and regrets.
His heart ached, as if it was stabbed with blades. His mind hurts, from drinking and thinking too much. The boy didn't want her to be harmed again, emotionally or physically. But it seems like he had forgotten about himself and put too much attention to someone who will never look at him as a man. And only a friend. "I should have done better" He mumbled.
He stared at the portraits displayed on the wall. Most of them were him and daesun, big and small ones. It was a significant highlight to his office, but now it all felt like a room of lies.
A single tear trickle down his eye, streaming down across his cheek. He wonders why is he feeling so heartbroken right now, even though he had endured it for very long time.
The door knocked a couple of times, he didn't bother at first and ignored it. His head was hurting like hell after drinking. Either he waits for the person in the other side open it or let them
leave. He stared at the brown wooden door as his eyelids were a few inches to close. Just as he almost closed it, the door opened, yet he didn't clearly saw who it was.
Daesun and jay opened the door, hearing no response from jake. From the information they have gotten, Ms Han went here earlier. And that gave an obvious hint for them, that the lady only had bad intentions to be here.
Their jaws drop once they saw the office, for one single description, it was a total disaster. Daesun walked across the room to approach jake, as she placed her palm on top of his forehead, feeling his skin hotter than his normal temperature.
"He drank a lot" Jay said, picking up exactly 4 empty bottles of wine.
"Do you think Ms Han had something to do about it?" He asked the female. They know well that jake isn't the type of person to drink, mostly this kind of amount.
"Why would she even let him drink this many?"
"I don't know. Maybe let his drunk self slip up some secrets?" Jay shrugged, not quite sure if that's the reason. Daesun just sighed and watched jake, questioning how will she tell him that someone is threatening them.
"We should put him to bed..." He mumbled, rolling up the sleeves of his suit. He carried jake in his arms, and smelled the stench of alcohol. Daesun nodded slowly. Before they could leave, his eyes landed on something, a broken phone.

"It'll take me awhile to fix this" A man from his 50s said, analyzing the broken phone. The guy in a hoodie sighed, he trusted the man to fix the phone a someone had broke.
He left the shop after receiving the statement. "Did jake had to break it that much?" Jay grumbled, opening his car with the automatic key. He drove through the streets to pick up the smaller male at their meet up.
At the near district, jay pulled over and saw a figure with a black hoodie as well. "That took you so long" Jake complained, once he got in the passenger's seat.
"It's not my fault that you broke Ms Han's phone too much" Jay replied, rolling his eyes as jake rolled his eyes in exchange. "By the way, why won't daesun come again?"
"I told you. She doesn't want to see me"
"She's afraid as expected" Jay sighed. Daesun stayed her apartment for the mean time and didn't made personal contact with anyone because she was afraid. It's ironic how jake already knew what's going on.
"This is all messed up" He looked at jake from the rearview mirror, who was cupping his own cheeks and doing deep breaths.
Jay sat back and relaxed, waiting for the light to turn green. He wandered his eyes around his surroundings. And eventually his eyes landed on this lady, she was facing her back to him. "Isn't that Joo Seonhee?"
Jake lifted his head up, averting his eyes to where jay is pointing at. "I think so" He simply agreed. They followed the figure, seeing where's she's going.
"Why are we following her exactly?" Jake asks, thinking that it's useless to follow her around since daesun and her aren't hanging out anymore.
"She went to the company yesterday. Before things gone haywire" He said, remembering how weirdly she acted towards him, and her actions yesterday had no logical sense.
The driver parked his car in front of a building, Ms Han's small company. Seonhee entered, clueless on who's following her. "I don't think we can go there" Jake protest, anxiety rising to his mind.
Jay ignored him and pulled him inside. Employees were busy as always. More busier than theirs to be honest. "Sir, who are you seeing?" An employee interrupted the two's low-key presence. Jay clears his throat to say, "We're with her" and pointed at seonhee from afar.
"Are you insane?! People might recognize us!" Jake whispered-yelled at him. Panicking non stop, however the taller guy disregard his statement and dragged him to follow.
They continued to follow her, until they reached the tippy top of the building. Seonhee went in this room, with a sign named Director Han Myunji on it. They leaned in, enough to eavesdrop a conversation that's gonna happen.
"Did the press agreed to go to Joo-High at Wednesday morning?"
"Yes. They'll be ready"
"Good. Make sure to go to SSS brands and find my broken phone. Who knows, someone might open it"
"Of course, ma'am. I will go there immediately"
"Make sure no one notices you. We can't lose this opportunity to ruin daesun's image...."
"......we can also get rid of Jake Sim and Jay Park out of the picture..."
