My eyes fluttered open. It was morning.
Was yesterday all a dream? I wondered. I hurried over to the windowsill. Not a snowflake in sight!
"Phew!" I sighed, relieved that summer was back to Arendalle. Yesterday, well... A lot happened yesterday.

"Elsa? You up?" Anna's cheerful voice drafted through the room. She was knocking on the door.

"Yes, I'm up!" I said, coming into the corridor. Anna smiled warmly at me. Guess she wasn't used to me opening the door. She grabbed my hand and practically dragged me down the hall, bursting with energy.

"I can't wait! I can't wait!" She squealed, leading me down the stairs. "It's your coronation reception!" Anna laughed. Releasing my hand, she proceeded to twirl and prance down the stairs, her dress spinning, flashing a rainbow of colors.

"Watch out!" I giggled, as Anna missed a step. Flailing, she fell backwards and smacked her head on my foot.

"Ow!" She rubbed her head and looked up at me.

"Oh gosh, are you alright?" I gasped. She stood up and whirled around.

"Never been better!" She grinned, and continued to dance down the stairs.

"Wait for me!" I shouted and ran after her.

We reached the bottom of the grand staircase out of breath. The head maid, Frida, looked at us apprehensively.

"Princess Anna," She said sternly. "No running down the stairs, please. For your own safety." Anna frowned and slowly nodded. "Now that that's clear, I would like to go over the itinerary for the day." Frida clasped her hands together. "First, we will set up the refreshments, as we already have. Second, we will have a grand opening of the gates. Third..."

I glanced at Anna, who looked like she was going to die of boredom. When Frida finished speaking, I turned around and smiled, acting as though I had been listening the whole time.

"So that's it?" I asked. Frida nodded.

"Wonderful! Anna, let us go get something to eat."

I lead her down the hall, and once Frida was out of sight, I spoke to her.

"Anna, please! You really must pay attention when people are telling you important things! Frida was letting us know how the party is going to go and you were just dozing off!" I hissed. Anna looked up at me with her bright, joyful blue eyes.

"I know. But that's because I can barely contain my excitement! The gates are opening, Elsa! And this time they'll stay open!" Anna whispered ecstatically. I rolled my eyes, jokingly.

"You are something else, Anna!" I giggled.

"Why thank you!" Anna curtsied and ran down the hall to the dining room. I lingered behind, feeling a tad anxious about the gala that day.

No matter how hard I tried, I could not fit in with the townspeople. Partly because I was queen, of course. But the other part, the bigger part was that I had ice powers. That always sets you apart. You're ethereal.

"Elsaaa? You coming?" Anna shouted down the hall.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming!" I yelled back and hurried down the corridor.

After the gates were opened, the townspeople became to stream into the courtyard. Anna was at the castle door to greet them, and once she saw Kristoff, she immediately rushed over.

"Can I please give him the sleigh now?!" She begged. "Please?"

"Of course!" I smiled. Anna's eyes sparkled with excitement and she sprinted across the courtyard to Sven and Kristoff. I sighed happily and made my way over to where the visiting royalty was gathered.
