The month went past fairly easily. Anna had her birthday, which I was sick for, but other than that, it was fine! I silently counted the days until I would see my new friend Leofric again. It was August 14. He would be arriving any day now.

Anna had mostly forgotten Leo, partly because I had dropped the subject. I didn't want anyone else to hear about it, for fear that someone might twist my words and that Arendalle's trade deal with Mercia would be suspended. Also, the last thing I need is Olaf waddling around singing about Leo and I.

That morning, Anna and I were sitting in the courtyard, talking about only the things sisters would talk about.

"Elsa, I can't wait for your speech this afternoon!" Anna squeezed my hands. I sighed.

That's right. I have a speech to make. I was to announce to Arendalle the current state of trading and reveal the details for the Autumn Festival. And I really wasn't looking forward to it.

"Yeah. Speech." I muttered. My mind was bouncing from topic to topic. The goods trade in Arendalle, the kingdom relations, all the duties of a ruler were mine now. It didn't help that with the touch of my hand, I could coat the entire kingdom in snow. I was just that dangerous.

"Elsa, are you okay? You seem feverish." Anna looked into my eyes.

"I don't have a fever! I'm just... ugh, forget it. I'm fine. Really." I lied.

This exchange of dialogue seemed to happen far too frequently, as far as I was concerned. Anna always worried about me. I think part of her was nervous that I'd freeze the land, like I did weeks before. She had a plausible reason for it; that wasn't entirely impossible now.

"I should go prepare my speech." I said suddenly, standing up from the bench.

"Okay, cool. I'll be collecting ice with Kristoff, if you need me."

"Mm-hmm." I pursed my lips.

"What?" Anna demanded, indignantly. "Go write your speech, Your Highness." She spat.

Laughing, I opened the oak doors to the castle and went up to my study.

An hour passed, yet I still had nothing written down. The scroll of parchment was as blank as could be. I drummed my fingers on the mahogany table. This wasn't getting anywhere.

"Perceval!" I called, summoning my court assistant. He arrived at the door shortly, looking timid.

"Yes, Your Highness?" He squeaked.

"I do apologize, Percy, but I can't seem to think of anything to say in my speech!" I frowned.

Perceval sighed and shifted his weight.

"Well, just begin with stating what you already know and go from there." He suggested.

"Yes, splendid idea!" I agreed. "You are hereby dismissed." He left the room quickly. I turned back to my scroll and began to write.

Citizens of Arendalle,
I'd like to thank you for your support these past few weeks. The kingdom is now in safe hands and it is all thanks to you. My first declarations as Queen...

I put my quill down and glanced at the clock. Thirty more minutes. Restraining myself from running out the door and into the fjord, I finalized my speech. When the clock struck one, I was ready to go. Percy arrived at the door in no less than a minute.

"Your Highness, are you ready to go?" He inquired.

"Yes, thank you." I nodded, rolling up the parchment. Taking my cloak off from the chair, I sauntered out of the study, and down the hall to the grand balcony.
