Chapter 5

Sky's POV

I was kind of shocked by his offer but I was happy at the same time.I don't know what was happening to me but when he was around everything felt so right. But I knew it was a temporary thing, and still this feeling is so new. Suddenly I realized that he was staring at me, then his eyes caught mine and he looked away. I could tell that I was blushing at that moment.

Afterschool.

I got out of the school and saw him standing by the gate, so I went up to him.

"Hey" I said shyly

"Hey, so shall we- ?" I cut him off

"Sure, let's go"

He looked at me for a second and said "Hey you didn't let me finish my sentence"

"Okay, continue" I gestured with my hand.

"I was gonna say shall we get married!"

"Whatttt" I was shocked.

He was freaking laughing "Wow, you really fell for that"

"I-I did not, I'm too beautiful to marry you anyway" Great now I'm stuttering.

"Oh really, you should've seen your face." He started laughing so hard.

I think I frowned and he thankfully stopped.

"Now thats better, so shall we.." I saw him giving me a mischievous smirk.

"I-I mean shall we go and explore the city" He smiled at me and we both headed toward the train station.

I decided to take him to the place where I visit often when I need to clear my mind. we took the train and started walking toward the park while chatting about usual stuff, like favorite colors, food, places, funny memories etc.

"This place looks beautiful, it's so unique, I mean I saw this kind of places in London too, but for some reason it seems different"

I smiled " and why is that?"

He looked at me with a captivated look " Because I'm here with you!"

I froze. What did he just say? no, no maybe I'm hearing stuff.

" w-wh-hat" I held his gaze.

"I only repeat once, but since your expression is very pleading, I'll repeat myself once again." He took a step forward, towering over me. "It feels different because I'm here with you" I could feel his deep breath coming in contact with my face. I think I was blushing, I tried to hide it but I guess he noticed because he gave me playful smirk. I decided to look away, but I eventually failed, so when I looked up, I found him staring at me with intensity, I don't know why but I felt like the world just stopped around me. It's just me and Nathan.

I wish this moment would never end, but deep inside me knew that it wouldn't last long because 'Come on, guys like Nathan leaves a long line of broken hearts behind. I mean just look at him, any girl would die to be with him and I know that he doesn't think of me that way, I'm just an ordinary girl and certainly don't want my heart to shatter.'

I snap out of my own thoughts, and notice that we were staring at each other for quite a while so I just decided to look away but I felt disappointed. 'Wait, why would I be disappointed? That's weird.'

We were walking around the park and I wanted to visit this lake that I go all the time, so we went there and sat on one of the benches. Soon we became busy talking about the things we like and hate. 'I have no idea why we started this conversation?'

"What do you hate or like the most in a guy?" He asked.

"Umm....well the thing that I hate about guys is that when they judge someone by their appearance rather than their heart, their personality." I looked at him and smiled, and turned my head toward the lake and continued "And something I would like in a guy to have a good heart, strong perspective toward the importance in life." I could feel his intense stare at my ditection but I decided to ignore it.

"Well, how about you? What do you hate or like in a girl?" I smiled at him.

"The things that I hate would be when they betray you over someone, but you love that person so much" I saw him closing his eyes.

"Who's she?" I looked at him

"Huh, who?" He looked nervous, but also sad

"The girl that broke your heart." I saw flinch a little bit, but eventually he continued.

"I once loved this girl name Aria McKenzie. She was the love of my life. I loved her so much that I would do anything for her. I wanted her to be mine.....I thought she loved me the way I loved her but she wasn't meant to be mine. She betrayed me by making out with my friend back in London..... Sky, your not going to believe, I was heart broken. And from that I lost believes in love!" I was astonished by his confession. He was actually opening up to me.

"Well you can't judge your believes in love just by a girl who didn't care about your feelings. You'll see, one day your gonna find your true love!"
I looked at him and giving him a smile from the bottom of my heart. Just then when I was going to look away.

I felt his hand cupping my cheeks. And the most amazing thing happened. He kissed me.
