It was half way through class and I was still outside sitting right beside the door.
I didn't know what to do, if Jayla was ''back'' Mom and Dad are going to send me back to the M.I. again.
It was a nightmare there. I was all alone in a room, white walls around me not a single splash of color any where. Every morning, afternoon, and night, a lady would walk in giving me the most horrific food alive. There were no pizza, no burgers, no fries, only nutritional whole wheat, and grains. It was like I was on a two year diet.
And for my schooling, it wasn't a private tutoring I had hoped for. There were other, how do I say this without sounding like a jerk, loco? Nutty? Bananas?
Well anyways, what I'm trying to say is they were just a little cuckoo.
Although the learning was fairly easy and quite simple the whole thing was a nightmare in general.
But while I was in there I had time to think. To think of everything.
Life.
Family.
Inside that room, that insanely white, no color, empty room, I kind of felt safe. The only worries were how to finish a puzzle.
And, when I was finally let out of the colorless room it felt like all the weight that was lifted before was poured upon me once again. The outside; full of color and memories, things you can't change from the past.
I guess I sound like a drama queen right now but you don't understand. Imagine sitting in the same room, eating the same food every other day, and no matter how many letters I sent to my family I never got a single reply. They could have been dead for all I know. There was no, hi or hello, or I love you sweetie and I miss you, there wasn't even a, don't worry we're still here!
As I was still sitting outside the room lost in thought the door opened and out came a familiar blue haired girl.
"Stay outside and think of what you've done!" The teacher yelled not noticing me at all.
"47 minutes and 32 seconds." Is all she said back.
The teacher looked confused.
"It took you 47 minutes and 32 second to realize that your laptop was really working. Its a shame maybe you should get your glasses checked." She said while laughing.
Her face got red from the anger and shut the door with Gia still dying at her teachers annoyance. She turned her head and faced me.
"Hey! You're that girl. Nevada!" She said while walking over to me.
"Nevaha." I corrected her.
"Yeah, same thing. So what ya doin out here, you know, you can learn better if your inside the classroom."
She sat down next to me and pushed her bangs out of her eyes.
"Yeah, I guess." I said looking at my knees.
"Aw, is someone scared to go inside." Gia cooed.
"Yes just a little," I admitted.
She laughed again.
"There's nothing to worry about, they are just people, like you and me."
Moments later we sat there not knowing what to say. It was pretty awkward if you tell me. A few minutes past where I finally spoke up.
"Can I ask you a question?" I said to her while playing with the zipper of my jacket.
"You just did."
