Chapter 4

Luke's p.o.v

My one way ticket to New Jersey is in just a few hours, so I have to call a cab to drive me to the airport. I packed my suitcase for a whole week. I might have packed a little more than a week.

"I finally get to be with my love!"

Luke's eyes sparkled as he thought of Jay. I love everything about that girl. Her bright purple eyes, her always energetic personality, and final was her insane maniac laugh. I don't know why but her laugh was funny and cute at the same time.

That's what was so interesting about her.

But sometimes I would accidentally ask,

"Why do you always wear that mask?" Or "why don't you ever take it off?"

I don't meen to ask this because I know how she gets. Her personality changes. It's like she boxes herself up, not wanting anyone to be near her. I hate when she got like that, I hate when she was so sad.

My thoughts were interrupted by a cars horn outside. 'I guess that's my taxi'

"Where to bud?" A man in a green cap wearing a black jacket asked.

"Airport please."

"Sure thing"

The car ride was about this guy talking about his whole life. His name was Dennis Hades. Wait his last name meens 'hell' in the Christian bible, this was the only thing I payed attention the whole time he talked. He used to be a drunk and lost his wife and daughter due to some murder coming into there house at night or something like that, I wasn't paying much attention to him. I guess he saw that I was distracted with something on my mind because he asked,

"What's on your mind kid?"

"Hm? oh nothing"

"It can't be nothing kid" he chuckled. "You look like you're in love. Is that it?"

There was silence. Dennis sighed and fixed his eyes back on the road. I'm guessing he was a little disappointed with me for not telling him.

"Ya" I smiled "There's this girl..."

"Go on"

We talked for 2 hours until we got to the airport. I explained who Jay was and that she lived in New Jersey. That she lived in a town called Sky-Vill. We said our goodbyes and he told me,

"I hope you and you're lady friend get together."

I smiled and waved bye.

He returned the wave but there was something on his face that I couldn't explain. He was smirking. Or was that just a small smile? I don't know... Maybe nothing to be thinking about so much.

The airport was just as I thought it was. Full of people trying to get to their flights on time.

'Flight 16 aborting in 15 minutes."

Just in time. I went on board and took my seat. Thank god there wasn't any little kids sitting near me. I would have snapped if I heard the screams of five years old complaining for the whole flight. I texting Jay just before take off saying'

"I'll see you in four hours"

I rested my head on the window and peered outside. Sleep is what I need before I start complaining like a five year old myself. I started counting from 100 backwards and fell asleep right off the bat.

Jays p.o.v

I woke up by a text on my phone. I whined not wanting to get out of bed. Looking at the text I read,

"I'll see you in four hours" -Luke

I got up so quick I looked like the road runner from looney tunes. I was going up and down through every possible room that was in the house, this was to make sure there wasn't anything out of place. I even put a big box on top of the basement opening. This was for precaution. I didn't want Luke seeing what my insanity does down there. I wouldn't even dare to go into that room when I'm sane.

I quickly went to the store and stocked my cabinet up with snacks, vegetables, meets, drinks, and even beer. The beer wasn't for me. Me personally can't hold my liquor. I bought it for Luke, at least I think he likes to drink once in a while?

I went through ever room again just in case. Especially the guest room were luke will be staying. I made sure that he had enough pillows and blankets for the night.

I still had one hour before Luke arrived. I decided to take a shower. I needed one from the sweat that I built up from running everywhere. Once out I put on my mask and hoodie and nervously waited.

Luke p.o.v

I arrived in New Jersey thirty minutes earlier than I expected. I called a taxi and gave him Jays address that I got from when she sent me a Christmas gift. He took it and we drove. I texted Jay,

'Hey you I'm going to you're house I'll be there in twenty minutes.'

I was so nervous for meeting her. I haven't seen Jay in person since that day at the coffee shop.

The car ride was silent unlike my last one.

Jay p.o.v

Oh My God! I can't belief I fell asleep.

"Mr.Bean why didn't you wake me up!"

"Meow"

I picked up my phone to check the time and saw a message from Luke.

I nervously pressed on the message to read it. I didn't and did want to know what it read.

'Hey you'

I smiled whenever he said that.

'I'm going to you're house I'll be there in twenty minutes.'

This message was sent almost 18 minutes ago.

"Shit he's going to be here!" I said out loud.

I was about to have one of my anxiety attacks.

But then there were knocks at my door.

I got up from the couch and slowly made my way to the front door. I hesitated to open it, I took a deep breath and turned the door knob. I was met by a green hazel eye guy.

"Hey you."
