for the past couple of months you had been admiring a certain brunette at school, she seemed cool

the both of you had texted a few times before about your new tote, it was a harry potter one and she seemed to like it, and the new rainbow laces you replaced your old ones with. in turn you complimented her on the marvel themed backpack she carried around everywhere

the brunette adored doctor who, marvel and harry potter which made you fall even harder

she loved listening to taylor swift, harry styles and panic! at the disco and to top everything off she was a lesbian

currently you were messaging her the big question of 'tea or coffee?!' to which she answered '1000% tea' you smiled at the message and how she began to ramble on about her dad working at a coffee factory

"what's got you smiling?" your mum asked you from her spot on the sofa

"urm, nothing... just some funny meme" you replied, probably too fast and definitely arousing your mum's suspicions

"well let's see then" she leaned forwards and held out her hand for you to give her your phone

"no" you blurted and ran to the kitchen

"there was no meme was there?!" she ran after you with a teasing smile

"c'mon" she leaned across the kitchen counter to come closer to you

"tell mama what's got her baby so happy"

you smiled again just thinking about the girl from school, a small blush appearing on your cheeks

your mum's green eyes stared right at you with nothing but love

"a girl" you whisper and suddenly become very intrigued with your grey fluffy socks

she places two fingers under chin and gently lifts your head you "i didn't quite catch that, bubba" she further teases

"a girl" you repeat a little louder

"awh, you've got a crushhhh" the blonde across from you bounces on her heels and her faces scrunches up in pure joy

"what's her name?"

"wait, you aren't asking about it being a girl and all?!" you asked in utter shock, you hadn't come out to your mum yet but she was being so chill

"oh, honey... does it matter whether you like a boy, girl or anyone for that matter? people are people and you like who you like" she cooes whilst walking around the kitchen island and placing her hands on your cheeks, kissing your forehead repeatedly

"i love you no matter what, ok"

"i love you too" you hum

"now!! tell me about this girl..."
