She was always a background character inside someone else's story, never really given much spot light. She  has her moments of rage and violence but, her friend knew she was better then those bad moments. She had had a history of depression and had suffered some losses close to her heart so high school was rough for her. It was mid August. She was in marching band with her friends.There was this hot guy in her school called Jake. He was one of the hottest guys in school. Kinda of tall,Raghu dirty blonde hair that always made him look like he just got out of bed and a thin nose, so thin it looked fake. She always saw him around school with a lot of people, being social and very outspoken. To her he seemed like a lot to handle, but maybe she was wrong, she would've know until one day she did.

She never really liked him until one day, they became friends. Through a mutual friend she began seeing jake around her and her friends more and more. It wasn't really forced but he slowly transitioned in. As time progressed and seasons changed she began to realize she had a grown a crush on him. She had learned more about him and gotten a better understanding of this outspoken boy she had gotten to know. She learned they were adopted from the same orphanage,country,and city. Time moved on and Valentine's Day was only a day or two away. She had planned on being single and was gonna treat her self.  She would should have a different plan for Valentine's Day. Class was boring but luckily lunch came sooner then never. She was on her way back to her table with her group of friends,and her long time guy friend Henry. Henry had been around her since 6th grade, and had clear crush on her. She knew about it,but she never could find interest in him. They had gone through so much together and saved eachother from the worst of depression many times. She sat down with her friends she jake asked her to come to the side. She paused her eating for a moment and slowly got up and followed him over to the side. He paused and began talking slowly but cautiously. "So, every Valentine's Day I normally break u- with a girl on that day, and I have a bet with my friend to see if I can do it again even tho I'm single. So , what I'm asking is, will you go out with me for a few days so I can win this bet". She froze,confused by his words," a bet, with your friends , to dump a girl ' she thought to her self confused. She really didn't know how to reply she looked back at her friends as they look backed confused. She took a deep breathe and uttered slowly '" I don't really know this sounds weird, can I get back to you". He nodded in response and walked back to a different table. She slowly turned around still thinking about the idea of dating jake, Her heart said to her,"Go for it, this a once in a life time chance." But something made her hesitate in saying yes right then, and there. She went back to her table sat and ate food. She went to class after class, thinking about the idea of dating Jake. It was exciting to think about to her. Before she knew it her last class,7th period, was over and it was off to go home. On her way to go towards her car she passed Jake.
She knew he waited for an answer all day,and was willing to wait. She paused for getting his attention and waving him to come to her so she could talk to him."So.. Will you go out with me or not?" He he spoke down to her in a demanding tone. She once again thought for a minute, noticing his fingers tapping his instrument case. She could not bring her self to answer.she would open her lips slowly but nothing but air would come out. He waited and quickly gave up, beginning to turn around and walk off. " Jake ...Sure ....I will" as she muttered to him loudly. Something about saying yes began to feel A little weird about this whole situation. She kept think to her self how this could all go wrong. She kept thinking to her self about why he asked her....."Why would he ask me ....I am a piece of shit.....why am I being picked ...Is it a prank? " She feel asleep after thinking about what happened that day. It didn't feel real to her, she hated the idea of being the butt of a joke but she was so lonely since ending her last relationship.
The next day begin with her meeting him up in the morning at their normal spot. It was a lunch table in the corner of the main commons area, it wasn't with all the other tables in the center of the room. She walked over seeing her friends. Elizabeth being a longtime friend since 7th grade, a lesbian with a large heart that would gladly give anyone a second chance. She admired it greatly. Next to Elizabeth was Kai,her longtime friend and now girlfriend. Kai was a sensitive girl who had recently broke up with her boyfriend and decided to give girls a try. She had a lovely voice when she sang. Which made sense, she was in choir and had always had a interest,a passion in singing. Kai also had wavy blonde hair that looked soft and shined nicely in the sun.  Kai and Elizabeth sat close to eachother enjoying eachother company. Meanwhile  she walked up and sat next to jake said, "good morning" and gave him a quick nudge so he would scoot over. She sets her bag down and time begins to fly as she talks with everyone until the bell rings, telling everyone they need to get to first period.  She  looked at jake knowing today was Valentine's Day," I'll see you at lunch jake", she uttered and she quickly turned to go to class, Elizabeth caught up with her after kissing Kai goodbye and joined her on her way to first hour
She dropped Elizabeth off at her first class like clockwork, and went to her own class. One class period became three and she packed up her notebook, pens, pencils, and made her way into the cafeteria. She walked up to jakes table and handed him her bag making sure to keep her headphones on her plugged into her phone. She figured while she would wait in line she would listen to some of her normal music to pass the time. Her friends Henry had joined her in line. 'So, it's Valentine's day today, you have anyone special?' He asked. She paused before nodding her head. Henry was shocked but he didn't seem to push it on. They had normal joked about valentines day being in a relationship but it never happened. Before the conversation could continue she was next to pay. She paid for her food and headed back to Jake and his table. Henry followed surprised by where she had chosen to sit, but regardless of where she said he would follow. She sat down on the edge on of the sides,Henry pulling up a stool and sitting on the end and sitting, keeping an eye on her. Jake looked at her and whispered in her ear ,' my friends aren't believing this we need to make this look real", Jake took a pause as he thought to him self,"we need to kiss" she paused and nodded silently. She was a little lost but went along with it. So lunch went on, she listened to some music and talked to Henry a bit expecting jake to end it any minute and call this joke of a relationship over, but he never really did. Henry asked Jake about valtined day plans and Jake looked at her,"I mean she is my girlfriend". Henry was shocked but continued eating thinking this was a joke. Soon lunch was ending. She was confused as she stood up getting her bag, jake stood up and kissed her saying goodbye. She was shocked. "Bye " she said waiting for more to follow,but nothing ever did. He never would end it that day. So the relationship continued on through a few months. Slowly, Kai, made her way over to jakes table.
