Teddy Bear

This Girl was being compared to everyone she knew.and it made her made very mad. It was a free period, today and she had taken the weekend and, decideed to dye her hair to make it more attractive to Jake. She took her hair from a light auburn to a deep chocolate brown.It didn't work. "do you like it ?" she asked him softly.
"I like it but, its to dark if you had hair like kai, and short like hers too..that would be amazing" he said while jumping up and Kai, like a child almost.
"Why do you always compare me to other girls.....what do they have that I don't am I really just that unnoticeable.....great to know you care for me. me you jerk....why am I dating a guy who compares me to every other girl out there." She thought to her self. She sighed to her head;f as she made her way to the gym. She always ended up in the gym for free periods.She walk down to the gym with Jake and Kai. Those two talked the whole time and she just was always just there but yet not there. She felt like a painting on a wall. Everyone noticed her and she was clearly in the room, but never really interacted with.Her mind kept telling her to leave but she still stayed just so she could at least hug him good bye. As they sat there one of Jakes friends stopped by us. Jake was holding my hand at the time when out of now where he said to his friend , "Hey feel her hands there really soft"
"Wow they are ...that's crazy"
"Yea really" Jake said to his friend.
"Finally something I have that Kai Doesn't." She said to her self while smiling,but with in second that smile was wiped off her face when she herd Jake say to his friend.
"Now feel Kai's there even softer "
"Oh my god there like clouds soft" his friend says with in seconds of touching her hand.
"She's my little teddy bear...I just want to hug her and never let go" He said while squeezing her tightly. Her heart dropped, she knew Kai loved this praise but she also knew Elizabeth wasn't around to see any of this and she felt bad. Elizabeth was smitten with Kai but, Kai was clearly more smitten with Jake.
His friend looked over to her, he looked down at her phone then at her face,them making eye contact for a second before she broke it off,looking down and keeping her head low, messing around on her phone adjusting the volume.she was determined not the hear jakes praise to other people. Maybe this was ignorant of her to only want him the complement her but she didn't care.
She looked up at him after turning it up and realized that he watched her turn up the music
" well I spoke too soon....God Jake just dump me already and date her instead ....you sure act like a couple anyway." ,She said in her head.
His friend could tell she hated the praise Kai was getting from Jake, but he did nothing. He had a worried look on his face when she lifted her head up and looked at him. He seemed lost in how to approach the situation he was seeing. He waved goodbye as he walked away.
Time passed and soon Henry had come by to talk to her but didn't really know what to say ether. He noticed her head phones in,zoomed out, and unaware of her surroundings. He surveyed the situation between Jake and Kai, and give a shuttle nod of disapproval. Henry dropped his bag and sat on the other side of her and gave her a quick poke. She raised her head and smiled at the sight of him. He seemed to cheer her up even during shitty times. He smiled back and motioned to pull a headphone out. She nodded before pulling a head phone out and pausing her music, and asked, "what's up?"
"Not much really, I was gonna say you wanna talk during lunch about hanging out later this week, I need this free period to study for a test" he sighed nervously.She knew he would fail if he didn't cram before a test. Henry was never one to study till last minute,but he normally did well.
"Yea,sounds good,I'll see you at lunch" she mumbled. He smile grew before he gave her a quick side hug and got up, bring his bag up with him. She sat surprised by the warm feeling that came over her when she got the side hug. She was never one for physical affection but Henry's hug really cheered her up,changed her feelings about the day.
