Dear diary,

that was an increasingly captivating conversation. The Jester wants me to guide those explorers to all three of the destinations that we visited and keep an eye on them while they work the old mechanisms.

He also vaguely mentioned something along the lines of 'nobody will keep you from me again'...

So, me and the two explorers went to the graveyard today. I asked them if we could start there, since I was unable to be there for long periods of time. However, as the two adventurers entered, my eyes lingered upon the dozens of crows around the circular domain. One of them took a dive for my shoulder and the moment he sat, I heard a voice echo through my head.

"My apologies, my dear. I clearly forgot an essential part of my plan."

My face instantly colored red. He'd been here still. Something about that sent a shiver travelling down my spine. "Here you go, this should work like a charm." The crow dropped a necklace adorned with a round amulet in my palm. I quietly whispered a 'thank you' and entered the gates, coming to the realization that the weird feeling in my chest was indeed gone.

I spent most of the day watching over both explorers with the help of my expansive knowledge of magic, making sure the spirits wouldn't do them harm. It was only when we walked back, a crow dove for my shoulder again. I handed him the amulet and walked forth, smiling to myself. I'd been right since the moment I got to know him.

The Jester wasn't a wholeheartedly bad person, it just took the right people.

Signing off,
