 "What is it?" Asked Nikabrik

"Human."

"Him?"

"No, Them." Answered Trufflehunter as he pointed at the Telmarine soldiers in the distance.

The four companions looked into the distance as Trufflehunter said this and saw a swarm of Telmarine soldiers approaching. The soldiers' approach shocked them all. Taking Adelaide's hand (to her displeasure), Caspian took charge of the situation and began running, Nikabrik and Trufflehunter following. Almost immediately, the Telmarine soldiers began shooting arrows. Trufflehunter was shot in the back after running for several minutes. Adelaide ran toward Caspian, but he stopped her, "Wait, I'll go." He said while running towards Trufflehunter. "Take it," Trufflehunter said, holding up queen Susan's horn to Caspian. "It's more important than I am." Adelaide had run over to them as soon as Caspian got to him. Immediately, Caspian pulled the badger's horn from his paws and looked up in terror at the Telmarine soldiers who were aiming their crossbows at the three companions. After a moment of waiting for the inevitable to happen, one of the soldiers was swiftly pulled to the ground by an unknown enemy. One by one the soldiers were pulled to the ground by the unseen individual and as this was happening Caspian picked up Trufflehunter and started running again with Adelaide close on his heels.

As all three companions had reached Nikabrik, who was quite far ahead of them all, Caspian put Trufflehunter in front of Nikabrik and said, "Get him out of here." As he turned around and unsheathed his sword, he prepared to fight the soldiers, but to his surprise, the camouflaged adversary was still pulling them to the ground now very quickly. Despite his last opponent's best efforts, he could not defeat the person and was thrown to the ground. As he was brought to the ground (possibly to his death) the unknown foe started toward Caspian and Adelaide, "Get behind a tree." Caspian whispered to her. She nodded and ran behind the nearest tree. To her surprise, Nikabrik and Trufflehunter were there too. After a few moments of fearful waiting the foe finally revealed himself, he had jumped up from the grass, bounded on Caspian, and pushed him to the ground. He was revealed to be an oversized mouse.

In a swift motion, he held his sword in front of Caspian's face, "Choose your last words carefully, Telmarine," he said breathing deeply. Caspian stared at the mouse in confusion as he said, "You are a mouse?" The mouse sighed in an annoyed fashion and said, "I was hoping for something a bit more original but anyway pick up your sword."

"Erm, no thanks." Caspian simply said "Pick it up I will not fight an unarmed man." The mouse said back.

"Which is why I might live longer if I choose not to cross blades with you noble mouse."

"I said I would not fight you, I didn't say I would let you live." As the mouse said this, both he and Caspian could hear a shout from one or two strides away, "Reepicheep!" Trufflehunter shouted from behind a tree, "Stay your blade!" Reepicheep looked at him in a shocked manner, "Trufflehunter!" He said, astounded but annoyed, "I trust you have a very good reason for this untimely interruption. "Trufflehunter opened his mouth to say something but Adelaide stopped him and said, "He doesn't, go ahead." She said this with a smirk, "He's the one that blew the horn." Trufflehunter said taking no notice of Adelaide's remark. Reepicheep's eyes widened at the badger's words, "What?" He said in disbelief. As the mouse said this, behind the three companions came an abundance of centaur. Adelaide's eyes widened at the sight of them, she had never seen so many, "Then let him bring it forward." One said, speaking of the horn, "This is the reason we have gathered."

"Kill him!" Shouts could be heard from inside the forest. If one listened closer it could be heard that the angry yells were death threats towards a young Telmarine prince and a certain girl didn't know what to think. Even though the young Adelaide knew she could not trust anyone of that bloodline, she never wanted him dead. He hadn't done anything wrong and all he was doing was running away from a cruel fate.

"Telmarine!"

"Liar!"

"Murderer!" More words were spit at the boy and as these words were thrown at him, his face dripped with worry. As the loud cries continued, Nikabrik chose to speak, "All this horn proves," He said angrily, "Is they've stolen yet another thing from us!" He pointed at Caspian in a provoked manner when he said this, "I didn't steal anything." Caspian said calmly, "Didn't steal anything?" A Minotaur in the crowd said with anger, "Shall we list all the things that the Telmarines have taken?"

"Our homes!"

"Our land!"

"Our freedom!"

"Our lives!"

"You stole Narnia!"

Caspian looked at the crowd solemnly, "You would hold me accountable for all the crimes of my people?" He asked them quietly, "Accountable." Said Nikabrik in an evil tone, "Punishable!" Adelaide's eyes widened at his words, he was going much too far for her taste, "Well that's amusing." She said with a slight laugh, "Especially coming from a dwarf, weren't you the ones that fought along side the white witch?" Caspian's eyes slightly widened at her words. Nikabrik scowled at her, "And I would gladly do it again, if it would rid us of these barbarians!" She sighed at his words, his mind could never be swayed, "Then it is lucky it is not in your power to bring her back." Said Trufflehunter quickly, walking over to the three, "Or are you suggesting that we ask this boy to go against Aslan?" As he said this there was complete pandemonium in the forest.
