Seoul, South Korea.
BEOMGYU
A wealthy child's life isn't as exciting as it sounds. I only have fun whenever I'm with my friends or doing something against my parents' rules. You can call me a rebel, but frankly, I think of myself as a rare trust fund kid. I don't want the lux or public recognition due to my family's name, and I'm not interested in material stuff. However, regardless of my beliefs and needs, I still get overruled by my parents' ideologies. I have to act however they tell me and do anything to keep our family's reputation.
Yet, my life has a brighter side, and I'm grateful for it. My friends are everything to me; they pulled me out of the wealthy life and brought me into their frequent space. We study at a renowned institute in Seoul; however, we remain humble and grateful. Not all kids here are the same; hence, I'm glad I found people like my friends.
Currently, I'm inside the classroom while thinking about my life. Simultaneously, I'm drawing on paper: it is a meadow with a pretty sunset. The things I reflect on my own are stuff I don't share with my friends often. I believe it is a delicate matter to discuss aloud inside the institute grounds. Beyond all, it involves my feelings toward somebody in my group of friends, Choi Yeonjun.
He will never notice me. We are thoroughly different.
I drew harder while reminding myself of the place I hold beside Yeonjun. Regardless of the pain, it causes me. I must admit my statement's accuracy. But before I could do so, I heard the classroom's door opening, making me lift my head to look.
-Here you are! – Soobin happily said while entering beside all our friends.
-Why are you here? We thought you went home! – Taehyun mentioned while everyone gathered around me.
-I was about to go, but I couldn't skip this class. I already have three absences. – I said while continuing my drawing.
-Well done! You sure are responsible, Beomgyu-ah! – Yeonjun teased before cluttering my hair.
-Yah! Cut it off, hyung. – I complained.
-Hyung, your drawing is so good! – Huening Kai suddenly said while looking at the paper sheet.
-Thanks! – I smiled at Kai before leaving the pencil aside. Shortly, Taehyun turned the paper and began looking at it with Soobin and Yeonjun.
-Huening is right. This is great, Beomgyu-ssi! – Taehyun spoke while Soobin agreed and nodded at his words.
-It is good, but I'm better at drawing than you. – Yeonjun teased before cluttering my hair once more.
-Hyung! – I complained before standing up, shortly ruffling Yeonjun's hair in response. He looked at me, amazed, and then continued to bicker with me by poking my tummy and messing with my hair.
