Yeonjun's apartment.

-Yeonjun's POV-

We are inches apart; I can feel Beomgyu's heart speeding up as we look into our eyes. There was an undeniable tension between us; however, that didn't stop us from staying close. I smiled after noticing Beomgyu's hands on my chest, but he suddenly noticed our current position and made him push me away. Briefly, I sat next to him and watched how my friend's face revealed his confusion and panic.

-It's getting late. I better go; I still have to get ready for tonight's dinner. – Beomgyu said before standing up from the floor.

-Uh, alright. But are you sure you'll be okay without guidance? You aren't the best at flirting. – I teased, attempting to forget what just happened and behaving as any friend would.

Beomgyu snickered slightly before speaking. -Filtring with Jiyun isn't in my plans, hyung. Our dinner is only for our parents' purposes. You don't have to worry, hyung. – Beomgyu assured me before picking up his stuff, and shortly, I stood up and escorted him to the entrance.

-Are you sure you don't want to stay longer? I promise I won't tease you too much. – I said while smiling at Beomgyu.

-Yes. I think it's time for me to confront my parents and survive tonight's event. – Beomgyu answered before I opened the door for him.

-Well. If you need anything, hyung will be here. – I told Beomgyu, making him chuckle slightly.

-Yes, yes, I will call if I need to unleash my stress. – Beomgyu joked. We laugh together before looking at each other, again getting lost in our eyes. Briefly, Beomgyu shook his head and nervously smiled. -See you tomorrow, hyung. – Beomgyu said before patting my shoulder.

-Alright. You'd better behave tonight, Choi Beomgyu. – I told Beomgyu, half-joking half not.

-Yes, Choi Yeonjun! – Beomgyu saluted like a soldier before walking away from the door. I saw him leave while resting my back against the doorframe. But as soon as he was out of my sight, I took out my phone. I didn't hesitate to call the only person aware of my feelings, Chaeyong.

After a few beeps, she answered.

"Hello?" Chaeyong picked up.

"Chaeyong! Can you come over? I need assistance." I said while entering my apartment, shortly closing the entrance door behind me.

"Come to where?" Chaeyong asked, confused.

"We'll meet at Dugahun," I answered while walking to my bedroom and briefly entering my walk-in closet.

"Dugahun?! Why there?" Chaeyong said in shock.

"I'm following Beomgyu tonight. I can't leave him alone during his dinner with Jiyun. That girl has claws; I've seen her behavior before, and she isn't as great as everyone thinks." I disclosed, suddenly hearing Chaeyong snickering on the other line.
