- the scene starts with Iago telling Othello how much he hates Roderigo
- Iago basically says that he is too nice for his own good.
- Othello's first speech is calm and together
- Othello is confident in himself and his position
- he is very different than who we were painted a picture of in act I scene I
- he has a clear conscience and is not afraid of anyone
- Othello is super calm
- "don't use weapons use your words and your ears, you will get more respect"
- Brabantio thinks that Othello has used some form of black magic on Desdemona.
- "why would the duke be in a meeting in the middle of the night? You are a liar. You are still going to jail."
