Chapter 3: Bad Dream?

Back at the home village. Steve wakes up from his room with a panic. Looking around his room. He could of sear he was back at the creepy mansion. Then heard Brian snoring above his bunk bed. Steve got up and jumped to Brian's bed.
"Brian! Brian! Wake up!".

Steve grabs Brian's shoulder and shake him to wake up. "Brian! Wake up!".

Brain woke up and slaps Steve's arms off of him. "Steve, what the-" Brian pause and looks around. He was in his room. "No way but how?".

"That what I thought. But how are we here". Said Steve, just trying to find answers if this is a dream.

"I guess we will have to find out". Said Brain, then punch Steve's arm. Steve yelped and rubs his arms.

"Ouch! Brian, mom said do hit me!".
Steve was a little mad. Then he realize, that this is not a dream.
"Wait a minute". Steve looked at Brian and slaps his face. Brain yelled in pain.

"How dare you" Steve know that Brian has anger issues. So Steve jumped off the bunk and ran down stairs. Brian followed him so he won't get away with this.

"Mooooom! Help me my evil twin is after me! Help!". Steve ran behind his mom clinging on to her long violet dress and with a white apron, That goes to her ankles with flat black shoes, and long down brown chestnut hair and indigo eyes.

"What is going on sweet heart?". Said the mom, concern. Then Brian show up and ran right to Steve. Steve which to other of his mother and help block any attack against Brian.

The boys went in circle around a round until the she had enough. She grabs but the boys by the shirt and life them up to her eye level and separated. "In the of Notches name what had gotten into you boys?".

"He slapped me and need to pay". Yelled Brian.

"You punch me first so you asked for it". Steve answered. Then folded his arms.

The mom sighed. "Boys we talked about not to hit didn't I.".

"Yes mom". The said in unison.

"Good now boys, what put you in a hostile manner?".

"Well mom" Steve goblet. "I am not sure if a dream or not but, me Alex and Brian went to the woodland mansion to explore like the grown up do and adventure like in your story mom. Anyways we went in and went in to and saw so many weird rooms, then I heard a voice that called me to some weird room and I open the chest".

"Wait you what?!". The mom cut in.

"Do worry mom I thing it was just a dream but it felt so real.". Steve explained.

The mom sighed. "And you had the same dream to Brian?". The Mom ask him. Brian nodded yes.

The mom puts the boys down then she sits on here knees to be in the same level to her sons.
"Steve, Brian, you boys and Alex did the moments huge mistake to go in that woodland mansion, cause that blast that you unleashed is not a dream. Also you boys". She start to tear up and her lips troubled, making it hard to speak of what she had to say next. "You boys and Alex died in there".

The boy were shook to the soul. This can't be true. This is sore of nightmare of some sort. They thought.

"But how are we are and alive but we died there". Said Brian. Tears streaming down his face. He died and it was all Steve's fault. He thought.

"Well my June bug you have been cursed to live, Or some say respawn". She said then she grabs her apron and wipes her boys tears and give them a warm smile.

Then she stands up. And walks to the carpet. "You boys don't tell you father this was here". The bends down and pulls the rug ways to reveal a spruce trapped door.

Steve and Brian were surprised. Also they know that mom as so may surprises and this is one of them.

The mom open the floor door and gesture the boys to come to her. They went to her and look down to see a latter down to the stone floor.

"So who wants to go first". Said the mom. Steve and Brian raise there hand. She giggled "Ok one at a time". She guided them down the latter to the bottom.

It was dark square room. The boys turn to see there mom put the rug of over the trapped door, then she climbed down. Then walk to her sons.  She held there little hands and walks into the darkness.

After a few minutes they reach to the end of the tunnel. She told Brian to pull the lever on the wall. He did so and there was a shift of the wall to show a door way of light coming out of it.

"Wow". The boys said in unison.

The mom chuckled "come on boys it time to show you the answers".
