Mr Huxley sat, facing the police officer and the detective before him in the interrogation room. Why? It's expected when a fellow employee commits a felony and you just happen to be their boss.

Harvey Hendrix is currently on the run but there aren't any clues leading to him. There's nothing. So, they brought in Mr Huxley, the CEO of Huxgravite company which Harvey works in. Who's also his very best partner in for an interrogation, it's only natural.

The officer turned on a camera to record their session for further investigation. He took some files, studying through it as the detective sat there, legs crossed, looking bored out of his mind as he kept sucking a peach flavored lollipop in his mouth.

"Are you ready to cooperate with us, Mr Cecil?" The officer asked with a stern look.
"Yes" He gave a nod.

"Alright, so Mr Cecil, you're the one who found the gem, correct?"
"Not exactly. My son found it in a cave and then... yes, we all were introduced to it."
"So your son didn't touch it?"
"No he didn't."
"But everyone seemed to be very... attracted to it. Seemingly without even sparing to think twice, they would touch it but your son didn't?"
"He didn't, he called me instead and the one who picked it from the cave was my employee."
"Manila, right?"
"Yes"
"So, you know the gem is... cursed, didn't you?"
" "Cursed" felt like an over exaggeration, but I did find it odd."
"What did you witness, Mr Cecil?"
"When some of my employees touched the gem... their pupils faded away... their skin turned pale, and they started walking to a certain direction..?"
"Where did they go?"
"I-I don't know."
"How come? Aren't you, their boss? You must've been worried or confused so at some point you had to call them or checked in for them."
"I d-did! I called them and they said they felt sick in that place, so they went home.... I suppose they didn't tell me the truth because... they might've thought I would report them over to the cops."
"Hmmm... James, William and Manila, right?"
"Yes"

The officer stopped in his flowing questions for a moment to set aside the documents in his hands. I figured this is when it starts to get personal.

"Now, about Harvey, how long did he have the gem with him?"
"More than a month."
"And you never accompanied him for the investigation of the gem?"
"He prefers working alone."
"In between that month, have you ever suspected him?"
"Well... not really but I did have some... doubts. Whenever I'd call him, he'd tell me to offer him more time. He never shared any information about the gem to me... so I wondered what he was doing with it."
"Right... so you never knew Harvey Hendrix was capable of starting a mass murder, were you?"
"God- obviously, no!"
"Then naturally, at this exact moment, I'm guessing the gem would be with him, correct?"

Mr Huxley gulped slightly, he could feel the cold droplet of sweat dripping down from his cheekbone. He gnawed on his inner cheek nervously for a moment, contemplating. This is bad, incredibly bad... And so, he opened his mouth to lie again.

"Yea, I suppose so."
"Hmm... don't you think there's any motive behind his actions?"
"Uh... I've personally knew Harvey for a long time... so I'm sure, he might have a motive."
"Does that mean it can be considered as an excuse for what he had done??"
"What!? No! Harvey wouldn't start a mass murder just for fun, there must be a reason. Maybe twisted at that. Isn't that your job to find out?"
"Yeah, right.. Well... I think I can already make up a reason for what his motive might be."
"What... is it?"
"I won't disclose it now.  Is there anything else you might want to share?"
"No..."
"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr Cecil Huxley. We'll call you in again soon."
"...Anytime."
