chapter 10 ~ "come cook with me"

"wake up, love!"

kazuha shakes me awake and i let me vision settle and get used to the lighting.

"hey. how long was i asleep for?"

i ask.

"5 hours! you must've been tired. anyways. we should make dinner before it gets too late. would you like to come cook with me ?"

kazuha asks.

"of course! let me wake up a bit more. i'm still kinda drowsy from where i was just woken up."

he nods,

"meet me in the kitchen once you're ready. do be quick. i would hate to be kept waiting"

i laugh.

"alrighty then."

he leaves the room and i hop out of bed.

'something i wouldn't mind getting food dropped on..'

i wasn't always the best at keeping clean during cooking so i've learned from past mistakes to wear some basic clothing.

i put on a t-shirt and shorts with socks and walk out of the room

"hey, kazuha! what're we making?"

"spaghetti. good thing you wore something not fancy. this could get messy if you and i aren't careful"

i nod and giggle.

we start the cooking and it comes to the sauce.

"maybe you should do this part.."

i offer for kazuha to only turn down my offer.

"nope. you need to progress and overcome what you struggle with."

i sigh and pick up the can full of the red sauce.

'you got this..'

i think to myself, carefully holding it above the pot and pouring slowly.

holy smokes i did it.

"i did it!"

he smiles,

"good job! i'll do the rest. go wash up for dinner"

i nod and head to the bathroom.

i took a cloth from the closet on my way and rinsed it with some mixed temperatured water. it wasn't too hot or too cold.

i rub it over my face to fresh it up. i squeeze the water off the cloth and place it over the fosset to let it dry off.

i then move the cloth back a bit so i can run water out of the fosset and clean my hands.

i apply soap and scrub.

once i finish freshening up, i enter the kitchen where kazuha had set up two plates of spaghetti for us both.

"thank you, kazuha!"

he smiles and kisses my cheek.

"of course, love"
