Chapter 2 — My life- a tragic story
May's pov
After a blissful hour of sleep, I finally had to get up! I groaned as my alarm rang and sleepily got up to change my attire. I selected a simple turquoise blouse and jeans, not wanting to overdue anything. I started my beat up Honda and entered the premises of Bloomwood high school. I knew I had to get through today without any fights and arguments or I'd be suspended already.
I'm not a violent person but if anyone gets on my nerves, a punch would be coming towards them even before they complete whatever shit they are saying. I collected my time table and locker code from the front desk and walked towards my locker. A guy and a girl were gruesomely making out against the locker beside me. I groaned internally at the sight and clenched my fists. I pulled the girl by her collar and pulled them both away. They both blushed profusely and while I was throwing daggers at them. They hurriedly scattered away. I rolled my eyes and opened my locker to keep all my stuff. I grabbed my American History books and walked to the class. I started to walk in the corridor, trying to find my way to the American History class.
The whole class was drowsy, barely able to keep their eyes open. I took my place beside a girl on the last bench. Just then, the professor entered the class. Everyone got up to wish him a sleepy Good Morning. The old professor went on and on about the World War I, putting us all to sleep. Finally, the bell rang and I'm proud to say that I was the first person to leave the horrendous class. My next class was Algebra. It went on smoothly, thank the gods! After it was our break.
And I'm sure all of you'll know that the cafeteria is categorized into different sections. And if you don't get a seat in the cafeteria on the first day, you'd have to sit on the ground or in the bathroom for the rest of the year. I'd personally prefer the bathroom, just saying! So, I decided to be a bit friendly and I thought of approaching a group of girls who seemed friendly enough but as soon as I heard them speak, which sounded a lot like this- 'asabdkgesu, Have you heard that Zayn Fucking Malik left One Direction?' 'adkgsiurof, I know right! How can this even be possible!' 'arghhhhhbhebfliug, there's no One Direction without Zayn!' 'When I saw the news, I cried for the whole night and cut myself. You obviously know that #cut4zayn is trending right.'Hearing the last statement, I had to speak up. "Uhm, excuse me for interrupting your ,um Fangirl moment but I'm sure One Direction still exists without Zayn. You're making it sound like Zayn was the sole member of One Direction. But he wasn't. One Direction is still strong and just because Zayn left doesn't mean it will stop. And seriously, #cut4zayn. Just because a person left the band because he didn't like to be exposed and he wanted to live a normal life, you make him feel guilty. You'll make him feel guilty for living a life he wants by cutting yourselves and killing yourselves. I'm ashamed of this generation." By the time I concluded my speech, the whole cafeteria was staring at me. 'Uh, did I say something wrong?' I wondered.
"bitch, who do you even think you are? Coming here, uninvited and blabbering some shit. Do you even know who I am?" the leader of these stupid fangirls said, or rather spat at me.
"I'm just expressing my opinion. NO need to get all beat up about it. And to answer your question, no I don't know who you are and nor do I have any interest in knowing. So, please excuse me!" I turned on my heels and sat on any empty table. Soon, three girls joined me there. I recognized one of them as the girl sitting on the fangirls table.
"Hey, I'm Dani. I heard you speak right now and to be honest, you said everything I was scared to say. You rocked it girl. You should've seen Sara's face when you strutted away!" The girl, Dani exclaimed. The other two girls also introduced themselves as Christie and Jane. Dani was tall with perfect blonde hair and blue eyes, you could get lost in. Christie was rather her opposite with a petite body, short black hair, brown eyes which were covered with spectacles bigger than her face. Jane was a brunette with black eyes. She was my height, not tall nor short.
All three of them had extremely different personalities but they blended well together. Dani was sweet and flirty, Christie was nerdy yet cool and Jane, she was calm and bubbly. They were friends since 1st grade and I immediately felt at home when I was with them.
"So, what exactly is Sara's problem?" I asked them.
"Sara isn't usually this rude but her long term boyfriend Nate broke up with her yesterday. Nate is the school quarterback and one of the hottest guys in high school. I guess she lost her celebrity status co's of this and that's why she is extra grumpy today." Jane explained.
"Who's Nate? Is he here today?" I asked them. They all nodded and mouthed, 'behind you.' I turned my head slightly and saw a guy with the hottest body ever and abs you'd drool over. He had brunette hair and emerald eyes. If you could get lost in Dani's eyes, you'd drown in Nate's. I quickly turned back and said, "Dayum, THE hottest guy I've ever seen and he's single too. Why aren't you'll flirting with him?" I asked, puzzled.
"Well, he's a total ass and he's screwed almost all girls over here. We don't want to be one of them and I doubt he even knows we exist!" Dani said sadly.
"Well, now that Sara's lost her popularity status, why don't we take her place. With your good looks, smartness and my sassiness, we could easily overthrow her. What do you'll say?" I asked excitedly. They all seemed unsure. But in my mind, I was already scheming up a plan!
So sorry for not updating earlier. And yeah, It isn't May's first day of high school. She's joining It halfway through. Sorry for the mistake. And this book is on fangirls but I wanted to add some high school drama to it but the major plot will revolve around May's private life only. xx
