A wide yawn escaped Chuuya's mouth as he walked along the pier. Now dressed in a black jacket over a white tank top and Jean shorts, basking under the setting sun. His mind ran rampant as he focused on the events of the previous day.
"If I can't figure out what's wrong with my head, I might as well backtrack one step at a time"

Activating his ability he blasted himself into the air and landed squarely on the metal railing of a towering bridge where he had been earlier.

"You know, Acrobats are in high demand these days."

Whirling around in surprise Chuuya sent a flying kick twoard the source of the voice only to see a purple flash whip by him. A cloaked figure appeared beside him with gleaming purple eyes, locking him in place.

A bead of sweat dripped down his face as his breath caught in his throat. The world seemed to slow as a pair of deep violet orbs spoke to him.

"Abilities and other supernatural forces are so stressful to work with. One mistake and it all unravels, surely you understand that Arahabaki?"

An instense shiver ran down Chuuya's spine as a violent feeling festered inside him.

"I can see you're eager to speak, instead of waiting 7 days, why don't you come out now?"

A gloved hand reached out from beneath the cloak and released a thick purple mist.

The blue eyed man held his breath and tilted his head, avoiding the contamination best he could while frozen. His chest started to tremble as his throat tightened begging for air. Trapped against the bridge railing he Rattled from the inside and when he was about to burst like a pipe the figure was swatted away by a huge white paw.

Chuuya gasped for air and collapsed almost tipping over the railing when he was pulled back in by a peice of black cloth.

"Chuuya-san!" Akutagawa ran twoards him as Chuuya's vision began to steady. In the distance, Atushi activated beast beneath the moonlight to charge at the cloaked figure before it jumped off the bridge and disappeared.

Gripping his shoulders, Akutagawa shook the executive repeating his name. Thoroughly ripped from his daze Chuuya snatched his subordinate's wrists and soothed him with a sigh.
"Akutagawa, calm down I'm fine."

"Oh, apologies Chuuya-san," Akutagawa said sheepishly.

"What was that?" The white haired boy approached the couple.

Chuuya descibed his experience with a grimice,"I'm not sure who or what that was..but the power felt familiar somehow, it completely froze me in place."

"An infectant ability?" Ranpo's voice called out from behind them, still raspy from running.

"Perhaps...but we should move somewhere safe in case there is another attack," Akutagawa suggested.

The Chuuya and Akutagawa went to the Port Mafia headquaters and said goodbye to the agents as they left. Strangely the red head lacked frustration, which was typical after a dangerous scenario. Due to his status Akutagawa left Chuuya to enter the head office alone. After knocking on the door gently, the sound echoing down the long hallways, a short command rang from the other side. "Come in."

Pushing firmly against the large oak doors Chuuya approached the long desk on the far side of the room and waited to be adressed.
"Chuuya-san, is that you?"

"Yes sir," his responded almost monotonely.

Off guard Mori spun his chair to look at Chuuya who stood straight and still, a glaze over his eyes draining them of color. "What's the situation?" Mori spoke up calmly but with a sense of unease.

Describing the details of the attack as well as his memory issues over the past days, Chuuya figited as he spoke, clearly nervous about the ordeal.

"Its more serious than I thought then..."the black haired boss clasped his hands together and stated, "As you know you're returning to work tommorow, so let me get you caught up on the next case." Reaching underneath his desk, Mori pulled out a tan file and handed it to Chuuya. "These new circumstances in the file might be related to what's happening to you, look through it tonight and a associate of mine will pick you up tommorow. They will be your temporary partner."

With a nod and a bow Chuuya left the office eyeing the file, oddly calm for the usually intense executive.

Looking through the window Mori stared out into the landscape dotted with buildings and spoke to open air, "Dispite being my student, I have to ask, are you sure of what your doing?"

Collapsed on his sofa Chuuya cracked open the folder and read the document reviewing the case.

Case level: B+

Assigned members: Chuuya Nakahara, outside assosiate

Briefing: Cloaked figures have been seen around Port Mafia and Armed Detective Agency territory, a large number of civilian's have gone missing in these places. Based on observed strength and ability, members likely have abilities. Because they sport similar uniforms they likely belong to the same group. Number of members is uncertain.

Studying the file in interest, Chuuya tried to recall any suspicious behavoir he had seen but it felt as if there was a fence keeping him from answers. He wasn't sure what his assailant meant by only having 7 days but still felt easy about the upcoming date.

Exasperated, Chuuya slumped back into the cushions feeling the weight of exhaustion pull on his eyelids and slowly drifting of to sleep.

At the sound of a knock on his door Chuuya's eyes flew open and he sar up with an ache in his neck. Still in his pajamas, a purple shirt and sweatpants, the ginger stumbled to the door and slipped it open to reveal a cheesy smiling face.

"Hello there partner!"
