Alright, I'll try to come there. But what about your parents? Will they be okay with me?" I heard her chuckle. "Obviously, Y/N. You know my mom left us anyway. I asked my dad, and he said you can stay here as long as you want." I smiled. "Okay, I'll start packing soon. See you!" "See you, bye Y/N-ie," she replied. I giggled and ended the call.

So, hi, I’m Choi Y/N, a 20-year-old, and honestly, my life is kind of boring. I was just talking with one of my online friends. I currently live in Europe with my brother. My mom and dad are both professional doctors.

They live in the USA and move around a lot because of their work. Crazy, right? Anyway, right now, I’m packing my stuff because I’m heading to Seoul to meet my online friend. She’s not just a friend; she’s like my best friend.

We met on Instagram, and we know so much about each other. Her name is Harin, and she’s also 20. I was born in Korea, but my parents moved to Europe when I was young. My brother, Jong-ho, is a painter.

I’m currently in college, and since it’s summer vacation, I decided to visit my hometown and meet Harin. My brother acted so weird when I told him about this. He was like, "Don’t talk to strangers!"

But when I asked my mom and dad, they agreed without any fuss. I’m leaving tomorrow. Harin’s mom divorced her dad when she was 10 because her mom cheated on him. Harin hates her mom.

Anyway, I picked out my outfit from the wardrobe and started packing my stuff.

"Ugh, shut up," I said, annoyed with my dumb brother. I sighed and ruffled his hair while he was cooking. "Look, I care about you. What if someone kidnaps you? We’re rich, and what if they demand too much ransom?"

I rolled my eyes and lightly hit his head. He groaned, and I stuck my tongue out at him with a smirk. He threw a packet at me in return. I sighed. He’s so childish, even though he’s 25. I walked over to the sofa and plopped down on it. Unlocking my phone, I saw a text from Harin.

My brother called me, and we both sat at the dining table to eat. "So, when will you come back?" he asked. I smirked and replied, "Hmm… I’ll be back after a month." He choked on his food, and I rolled my eyes. He’s so dramatic, for sure.

"Are you out of your mind? Just come back after one week!" he exclaimed. I gave him a weird look and yelled, "Are you crazy? I’m going out of this country, alright? And I’ll come back whenever I want, so chill."

He sighed and rolled his eyes. He’s so weird. Later, when we were done eating, I got up and went back to finish my packing.

Next day :

"Alright, I’m going now," I said. Jongho hugged me tightly. "Be safe and call me when you reach there." I smiled and hugged him back. "Don’t worry, I will. And you should take care of yourself too."

We pulled away, and he patted my head. He always teases and irritates me, but after all, he’s my brother. I love him, and I know he loves me too. I stepped inside the airport, looked back one last time, and waved him a final goodbye. He waved back, and I smiled before heading inside.

Time skips :

"Hello, Harin. Where are you? I'm here," I said to Harin over the phone. "Yes, I'm coming. Wait—where exactly are you?" she asked. "What do you mean? I'm standing at the exit door," I sighed. It had been 10 minutes of waiting.

"Ugh, wait—I found you!" I suddenly got nervous when, out of nowhere, someone jumped on me. "Y/nieeee! Finally, you're here! I'm so happy!" Oh my god, it was Harin. I smiled and hugged her back. "Me too," I giggled. We broke the hug, and I looked at her properly for the first time.

"Oh my god, you look so beautiful in person," she exclaimed. I blushed shyly as she pinched my cheeks. "Hey!" I hit her playfully. She pouted and hugged me again. "Well, you're also beautiful," I said.

She smiled and dramatically flipped her hair. I rolled my eyes as she interlocked her arm with mine. "Let's go, shall we?" she said. I nodded, and we both got into a luxury car.

"You know, I'm so excited right now! Please don't leave me," she said. I laughed at her and nodded. "Yes, don't worry. I won't leave you for a whole month."

She scrunched her nose cutely and said, "Why only a month? You should stay here forever." I shook my head and pinched her cheeks. "I would love to, but my brother would kick my ass." She groaned, and I chuckled as we started talking about random stuff.

We reached our destination, and I slowly stepped out of the car. I looked at Harin; she looked so happy, but I felt nervous for some reason. Shaking off my thoughts, she patted my shoulder. "Let's go inside." I smiled and nodded as she dragged me inside. It wasn’t just a house—it was a mansion. Damn, it’s so beautiful.

This girl is insanely rich. I never expected it. Sure, I come from a good background, but Harin is living the ultimate luxury life. I remembered her social media—she's always traveling to different countries. Looking around, I couldn’t help but admire the modern design of the mansion.

"You like it?" she asked, smiling. I giggled and nodded. "I love it! Damn, girl, you’re so freaking rich." She flipped her hair again, and I stuck my tongue out, teasing her. "Oh, hey, Dad," she suddenly said.

I turned to look at them, and oh my god, her dad was ridiculously hot. My feet froze on the spot. Wait… duh, of course, Harin has a dad. How can this man be a dad? Just look at him! She hugged her dad and then walked over, grabbing my wrist to drag me toward him. I awkwardly smiled as she said, "Dad, I told you about Y/N, right? This is Y/N."

I smiled and gave a slight bow. "Hello, sir." He just stared at me while biting his lip. I gulped, unsure of what to do.

"Dad?" Harin called out, snapping him out of his trance. Finally, he spoke, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine. Damn, his voice…

"Hey, kid I'm Kim Taehyung "
