Ok so there's a small bit of lore behind this drawing and I'll explain it real quick
Basically back in the 1700s Ace and Spade became close friends (year 1701 to be exact) they had a close connection to one another. Spade was only 4 while Ace was 5. Over time they got to know each other well and a year or two later Ace had found out his father had died in a war. He was quite upset and lucky Spade was there to comfort him. And at this time Spade really shouldn't be hanging out with Ace as he's in the top tear of the town as one of the prince's but again he was basically forgotten.
At this time things got ruff for the both of them while Spade started to hate his younger twin brother who has alot more attention then hem. Like he would go up to his parents to ask something and they would say they are busy and not even a few seconds later club would ask something and immediately get an answer. Like Spade and club were born an hour apart. Why was Spade hated so much.
Spade always snuck out to hang out with ace and they definitely got along quite well. If Ace wasn't so busy in the small shop his mother run hem and Spade would go ontop of the buildings if it's a nice day but if not they would just hide out in aces room. There was one time Spade got calt being there and that was when he had fallen asleep while talking to Ace. For almost 3 weeks Spade wasn't seen once and Ace honestly was worried wondering if Spade was ok or not. But one night Ace was chilling on the roof of his house and suddenly realized someone had layed beside hem. It was Spade. Obviously Ace was exited and tackled hem almost falling off the roof but he was just happy Spade wasn't dead.
Flash forwards to 1711 and Ace Spade and club were hideing in the forest talking. club was silent the entire time listening to Spade and Ace. Both Spade and Ace have some hate towards club. Spade hateing hem more then Ace. Club really didn't care he just wanted to k ow what the two of them were always up to knowing Spade had been sneaking out for years.
When it was starting to get dark Spade had started to act a bit off and he didn't really know hemself if he was ok or not. Soon enough Ace noticed and asked if he was ok but as he was saying he dosen't know he kinda just dropped limp. Ace didn't know what the hell was happening and started to shake hem saying wake up. There was no response and he stood by and backed away a small bit. Club just looked at the two of them oddly and some thing started to look off.
Ace went to try and wake Spade up again but before he was able to shake hem something was really off. Spades eye had gone black and he immediately got up and tackled club. Ace ad tried to separate the two but by the time he did he realized this wasn't Spade but however a demon who had token control of Spade. Ace immediately backed off and the demon had just started at hem for 2-3 minutes. Club was slowly let go and he had immediately ran off scared.
Ace had not known this demon had atchley existed and honestly he was more shocked than she was scared. Soon enough he elements of the demon had disappeared and Spade had fell lip again but Ace had calt hem before his head could hit the hard ground. Ace generally didn't know what to do. He ended up picking Spade up the best he could at the moment and went further into the forest so that there wasn't any chance of Spade getting killed when brought back.
It was really dark and Ace just wanted to make sher Spade was ok. He had his one hand on his sword incase an animal came or something and kept close to Spade incase. It was almost pitch black when Spade had woken up and was confused. Ace was half asleep by then but would jolt awake if there was any noise. Spade felt like he was freezing and curled up a small bit scaring the hell out of Ace for a moment. Ace held onto hem trying to keep hem warm but he was also a bit cold hemself. Ace ended up getting up and makeing a small fire. It was enough for them to survive the night.
Months later the demon started to appear more and more makeing Spade almost constantly feel sick. Both Ace and Spade had already known the name of the demon hearing about him before. The demon was Travis and honestly it was kinda shocking to Ace when he had realized he was somewhat able to control Travis. Well more like make hem stop and disappear. Over time he started to ask Travis things and started to know hem over time.
Year 1712 Ace had given Travis the nickname emerald. And few moths after that given Travis a necklace with an emerald as a joke. And some time before Ace given Travis the necklace Travis had been able to separate hemself from Spade but was stuck in spades form.
Some time after Travis had sperated from hem Spade has been slowly regaining his energy but was really weak feeling for about a month. But then he had realized that he really was forgotten. His parents wouldn't say a word to hem and even at dinner was completely ignored so he had locked hemself in his room and started teaching hemself to work with clay and wood and later on metal. And for moths club would quickly drop off food for hem and just leave. Over then that Spade was forgotten. Well until December of 1713.
In December of 1713 Travis had started to go on a rampage and he went outside wondering what all the chaos was about. It was only a matter of time until he saw Ace get chased down behind a building. He immediately pulled out his sword and chased after. He hit Travis with his sword cutting hem off gard and now he was the target. He was chased down and attacked. He was stabbed by his own weapon and soon found hemself blacking out.
He woke up above his own body. He still heard alot happening and he quickly realized he was dead. He took a small wooden box he had made and written a note and left a sapphire necklace in hit and he honestly hoped that Ace would live in find it. And before he knew it he was in a clouded area.
A few years have passed and hem and Ace were just chilling at a sunset by an open field. Ace still struggled with everything that had happened in 1713 and honestly he really missed Travis is what he would keep saying but who knows. Besides it's unlikely Ace would atchley like Travis after he had killed hem. Right? Either way Spade was happy to finally feel noticed again for the first time for a few years.
