Oh Too Familiar (18)

It was now the end of the day, you haven't seen Law since you guys were still at the island. It's been about 3 hours and the clock is about to strike 9. At the very moment you were doing some chores because you had gotten a sudden burst of motivation to do it. Corazon tried to bud in to help but you insisted so he decided to go sit in his hammock that is located in the living room to take a nap.

"Once I get done with this laundry I can go make some tea.." You say to yourself with excitement. Having a cup of warm tea always helped you sleep. Especially during cold nights in the ship.

You were in the room both you and Corazon shared to fold the laundry. You sat on the bed listening to music from your transponder snail.

Awhile back you put up an old picture of you, Corazon and Law when he was still a little boy. You knew it was a bit cheesy but you missed him.

You found the pictures in some of your belongings a year after owning the ship and decided to hang it up.

As you stared at the picture you heard a couple knocks at the door. "Honey? You have a visitor." You heard Corazon's sweet voice say from the other side. You look over at the door with a knowing smile. "Come in~" you replied while quickly finishing up the last of your laundry. You watch as Corazon opens the door revealing him and Law in your sight.

You quickly get off the bed while turning off your music and walk over to Law. "Oh my little Law, where did the years go? You're are so tall and even more handsome now!" You hug him as his face turned red. "T-Thank you Y/n.." He replied while hugging you back. "Where's the rest of your crew? I would like to meet them." You ask as he nods. "They are all resting. It was a long day for all of us." Law answered while the two of you break the hug.

"Aren't you tired Law? Why don't you go rest as well." You gently put a hand against his cheek as he smiled. "Don't worry, I don't want to waste time anymore, not without you guys." Law answered with reassurance. You were still concerned but didn't want to go against the boy. "Well alright.. Corazon do you mind taking Law to the kitchen?" You ask as he nods. "It's just down the hall." Corazon began to walk away with Law leaving you to finish up your chores.

You quickly put the laundry in your drawers and head out of the room. "Yeah, I'm planning to try and become a major power." You heard Law speaking with Corazon. "Sounds, fun. Your m-" Corazon froze cutting off his sentence. "Y-Y/n and I planned to also be recognized by the world." Corazon awkwardly answered. Before the conversation could go any further you walked into the kitchen.

Both the men look at you as you smile. You spotted Law sitting at the bar table that was connected the to kitchen. Corazon was drying some left over dishes near the cabinets.  "So, what were the two of you talking about?" You ask with an innocent smile. They both give a glance to each other as Law began to answer. "We were talking about future plans." Law answered you while taking a sip of tea Corazon probably made him. "Oh how interesting, what are your plans Law?" You ask sitting next to him while Corazon also hands you a cup of tea.

"To become a world known superpower." Law answered taking another sip of tea. "I heard you also want to be recognized by the world." Law mentioned with curiosity. "Yup!" You answer with an determined smile. "Though I never agreed to it." Corazon budded in. "Oh come on Cora! It'll be fun! We don't have Doflamingo on our tail anymore!" You try to reason with him as he clearly showed un-approval.

"I want to go out and discover again! We've been searching for Law this whole time! Now we can travel with him!" You get off your seat and walk over to him. "Corazon it's our chance! I gave us more time!" You grab his hands now that he was done drying the dishes. "Please..." You beg while looking up at him.

His face flushed at the sight of you. He couldn't never not look at you with hate. He loved you with all his heart. The sight of his only love during a bad day turned into into a wonderful one. "F-Fine.." He agreed making you smile even more. "Alright! The deal is in!" You let go of Corazon still leaving him there a red mess.

The night went longer than ever before. It lasted until Law fell asleep on the couch. "Honey can you take Law to the guest room?" You ask as he nodded. "I'll get him some blankets." You say while walking over to a closet in the hallway. "I remember when we could hold him in our arms.." Corazon commented before heading into the guest room with Law over his shoulder.

You chuckle and nod in agreement. Once you grabbed the blankets you walked into the room and found Law already in bed. "We should take his jacket off." You place the blankets on the bed and begin to unzip his jacket. "I hope his crew doesn't get alarmed that he's gone.." Cora said in worry while placing the blankets on top of Law once you were done. "I'm sure they will be fine." You reply while tucking Law in.

It was quiet for a moment as the two of you observe him. "..I wish.. I wish we could've been there for him.." You say while slightly gripping your hands into fists. Corazon stayed quiet while also feeling slight guilt. "..To watch him grow up was what we both wished for.. Now it's all in the past, we have to move on now." Corazon held your hand and smiled down at you. "Let's get some rest.. It's gonna be a long day for us tomorrow." Corazon suggested.

You take one more glance back at Law and nod your head. "I guess we should.." You hold hands with Corazon while walking to your shared room.

Law.. From now on we will be by your side..
