2. Why hello there

a few hours after Karl left, 2 other people had come to the shop; a man named Jack and a young woman who called herself 'Captain Puffy'.

Jack need a new cuffs for his undershirt his old ones had been ripped off in an altercation.

Miss Puffy needed A new corset, the Old one having been tattered and torn from long term usage.

Minx did the cuffs while I did the corset, mainly because I had been wanting to show off a specialty corset that i had been working on.

"So I heard you needed a new corset, i was wondering if you would be interested in trying on one I made that is battle ready and functional, its a corset that has thin armor built into it, i know it sounds a bit strange but i made it for women who want to be prepared, it wont cost anything extra, you can try it on if you want to, if you don't like it you can just get a normal one"

"Hmmmm, i think ill go for it doesn't hurt to try something new, besides it could probably help when we get raided." I nodded as I went into a back room in the shop, ushering Puffy to follow me

"So, what did you mean by getting raided?" I asked as I instructed her to remove her current corset.

"Oh well, I run a sort of moving restaurant called Mc.Puffy's. I use my ship to go across the sea, trading for spices, rum, and if where ever we are has any interesting vegetation or animals, we like to trade for those as well. We then sail from the smaller islands, villages, or towns to the large cities and capitals, such as the one were at now. In the large cities, we set up the restaurant to serve customers. It's a cycle really but were rarely ever in the same place twice."

I continued on with the fitting while listening in awe of her traveling business. "That is such a smart idea, it sounds like a lot of fun"

She nodded as I layed out a few of my creations for her to chose from. "Yeah, it is quite enjoyable but also dangerous, we often get confused for cargo ships, so we end up getting attacked by pirates and thieves quite frequently. In fact, in our latest excursion we had a stowaway, some teen boy who can't remember nothin. That red one looks nice"

I nodded putting the others away. "Sounds like a handful, do you know which of your voyages he's from?" I asked

"No idea, there's no tellin how many places we've been in the past month and we only just found him, we assume he's from one of the eastern islands but were not sure, he's a hybrid of some sort" Puffy said as we worked together to put on her new corset; tying it and all.

"So, how does that feel?" I asked checking over my work.

She did a little turn in the mirror and knocked on the corset a few times. "It's sturdy, but surprisingly comfortable. This is a really good quality as well, Is it ok if i wear it out?"

I smiled at her "as long as your paying first"

She gave a hearty laugh "Of course"

We walk over to a separate counter and place her old corset in a burlap sack.

"Alright your total is 35 silver coin"

Puffy seems surprised by that. "What? All this for that cheap, your pulling my leg here?"

I shook my head "no ma'am, I'm true to my word, your testing something out for me, I won't have you pay a dime over what I normally charge"

The woman sighs pulling out her money. "Well, if you won't let me pay you more, at least let me invite you on down to my tavern, come sometime this week and I'll set you up with something"

I nod at her reluctantly. "Alright, I'll try but I'm not making any promises."

Puffy smirks as she grabs the bag on her way out. "See you around Aubriana"
I nod to her as she leaves.

Minx wanders over to me and sighs. "Man that jack guy was nice but he sure as hell didn't know how to shut the hell up"

I snickered "sounds like someone I know"

She punches my shoulder "yeah but he had WAY to much energy for a guy with that little hair."

We were both laughing when we heard the bell on the door ring and saw four cloaked figures walk into our shop.

Hi there! So I heard about techno (or Alex) and I wanted to let who ever reads this or is reading this that this is a story I wrote over a year ago (in like February 2021) that I just kept putting off. I want to continue to post my story because for me this is something that I wrote when things were all goin great. Pre Technos cancer announcement, this was like written after Tommy was out of exile and was livin with techno in the tundra cabin, one of the most iconic moments in the Dsmp lore lol. I'm sorry if it's weird that I'm still writing this, I mean I'm literally only on chapter 2 rn but I was just not only proud of the story but happy to remember when I was writing it.
