Who?

The next day came almost too soon. I sat up, adjusting my eyes to the room that surrounded me and within seconds recognized that it was nothing but my own space. I began to rub my eyes and pull my legs over the side of the bed in order to prepare for the day ahead of me. Looking at the clock, it read 5:00 AM. I groaned and furrowed my brows from the disappointment. 

"Why does this dumb job open so damn early." I grumbled to myself as I picked my self off the bed.

Staring into the closet I looked at the wardrobe that awaited me and briefly glanced over the clothes before realizing that the Uniform necessary would be provided today due to my approval from Sunny. After realizing this I swiped through the multiple items hanging and decided to choose something that was not too difficult to remove to change into the uniform. The clothes chosen were just a bright orange college team hoodie along with white cotton shorts that were often used for pajamas. 

Chuckling to myself I realized that the hoodie chosen somewhat matched sunny and figured I'd bring it up to him in order to brighten the mood. I slipped on the clothes and rummaged around to find my shoes I would wear for the day. The easiest choice I figured were just the white hightop chuck Taylors lying around from the previous day. They could match pretty much any outfit so there would be no problem. 

As I finished looking tying the laces completely I headed for the door. As I approached the knob I stopped myself as I could hear breathing from the other side of the door. Almost instantly I recognized exactly who it was waiting for me and I smiled to myself. I slowly turned the knob and slammed it open. I screamed and scarred the small person behind it waiting for me to leave. 

"AHG!" Mateo screamed as I scared him. His eyes widened as he saw my sly smile creep onto my face and his face became pouty. 

"Ohhh, don't make that face or else you'll make me feel bad." I groaned as he acted dramatic about the situation.

His face lightened and he began to tug on my arm as I walked out of the door. Jumping up and down he began to rapidly ask me questions. 

"ARE YOU GOING TO FREDDY'S RIGHT NOW?!?!" He practically yelled.

I shushed him quietly so that he would not wake our parents but there was nothing much to do in order to stop a young kid thinking about the arcade.

I chucked and nodded my head as I scavenged for the keys around the house. He gasped and the light in his eyes expanded.

"TAKE ME WITH YOU!" He exclaimed fully thinking that I would.

"Mateo you need to go back to sleep silly," I laughed, "It's five in the morning and you need to go to sleep now so you can wake up in time for School." 

"But, its a Friday which means today doesn't count." He begged.

"Yeah yeah, today doesn't count, my butt," I smiled, "The day that's true is the day I become a billionaire." 

He mumbled and frowned at my response and put back another pouty face. 

"SOME DAY!" He exclaimed, retaliating against my decision. 

Turning away from me, Mateo marched back towards his room and reached the door before looking towards me. 

"It's no fair!" He groaned.

I shrugged my shoulders and gave him a small wave.

"I LOVE YOU BYE!" Mateo said, attempting to sound upset, before quietly slamming his door shut. 

I chuckled and headed for the door to begin driving to work. The morning frost was littered all over the grass and parts of my car windows. They were not too chilled and were definitely drivable. I unlocked the door, started it up and began to drive to work.
