Izuku lowered his gaze in shame, his hands gripped into a tight fist as he tried not to cry, he swallowed nervously before he spoke, "I-I know I left you all alone... but I thought you'd be better off without me!" He tried to justify himself, the rain pattering down on his skin harsh and cruel.
"And I was wrong..." his voice was rough and exhausted, starting to back away as Katsuki walked up to him. His ruby orbs laced in shock and something more that Izuku couldn't quite place, "I see that now..." the greenett muttered, his eyes flashing with frustration at the usually loud blond's silence.
Katsuki kept on walking closer, the rain dripping off his blond spikes and down his chin, even with the deep bags underneath his eyes from lack of sleep he still looked handsome as ever. He slowly slipped off his gloves with surprising ease as the distance between the duo was getting smaller.
"Oh... stop being so stoic, Kacchan!" Izuku raised his voice just a bit, emerald irises laced with worry, "Shout! Scream! Say something!" The young vigilante froze as Katsuki's hand reached his dirty freckled cheek. Ruby met emerald and the silence was almost overbearing until Katsuki finally spoke, his voice filled with unrelenting relief and love,
"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you..."
