We showed up at Alveraz's place, the guys were all sitting around. We got off our bikes and walked up to the house. Clay said we were just going to talk to him about it, thats all. "I believe your on the wrong side of town ese, blacks are on the other side," he smirked. Clay chuckled, "See we just have this issue," Marcus eyed him, not stepping off the porch of the house as 2 of his buddies walked up beside him. "I just want a chat, cant we do that?" Clay played coyly. Marcus eyed us all, taking in how many there were. There was only 4 of us, and we didnt have guns either. "Guns were left at home, lets handle this," Marcus eyed me, smirking as he turned and walked into the house. Coco eyed me too, able to put me with addison. I cant help but think about what she told me, she likes this man. Of all people, why him?
We walked into the house and he sat us at the dining table in the kitchen. I looked around, just to take in my surroundings and I noticed Addi's ring on the counter. I knew one of the guys would recognize it, it was her clubs ring. I sighed, "Aye, you got somewhere to take a piss," I shouted. Marcus eyed me, and I shuffled my eyes towards the counter. He took a second, so I played it off, "You can have one of your boys watch if he likes, but he will have to hold it," He nodded. "Go ahead, Coco, show him then come back," I got up and walked as close as I could to the counter and let my hand glide over. Coco eyed me not knowing what was going on. He walked me down a hallway then quickly turned me, 'What did you take?" I opened my palm and showed her ring. " I didnt think it would suit well with her jewelry with our logo sitting on the counter aye? I know about her and marcus, she told me last night. She had to tell someone. So go ahead and tell Marcus, but she likes him. Dont ruin it," he waited a second and nodded, "You know he doesnt seem so tense with her around," I nodded remembering the feeling as well. 'I know," he pointed at the door for me to go in. I stood in there, waiting a second hearing the foot steps trail off. I decided to text Addi, "You left your ring here, I grabbed it," I turned my phone off so she couldnt respond back. I turned the water on and then walked out. I told her that i would keep her secret, and that is what Ill do, even if i do love her. This is what friends do no?
Clay decided that we werent getting anywhere with Alveraz and their connection to the Chinese stealing our weapons. We stood up to be escorted out but he stopped me, "You must know," I nodded looking around as the guys walked out. "Then you know, if anyone else finds out, I know where it came from," for once I was nice to him. "You keep Addi safe, we have no problems. She told me last night," he nodded towards the door. I sighed walking away knowing that it should of been me with her, not this fool. I shrugged it off and found my way back to the brothers who was mounting their bikes. Clay gave me a puzzled look, "What was that about?" I shrugged. "Thanked him for dropping a load in his bathroom," the boys got a kick out of that and we drove off.

I sat there on the couch, debating on what to do. I just stormed off from my mother who just made me upset. I shouldnt have told her, she will go and tell Clay now. I shook my head stared at the ceiling. A text came through from Chibs, 'I left my ring?' i said aloud. I looked down at my hand and noticed my clubs ring gone. I slapped my forehead. I cant believe I did that. I am making him more upset, I know he doesnt want to be cleaning up my messes. I walked over to the livingroom and sat down. I sighed, not knowing what to do next. I shook my head, why do i put myself in these situations. I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to think. I got up and grabbed my keys, i am going to work, that will help. I walked out to my car, plugging my phone in, and taking deep breath. I put the car in reverse and headed into work. Do you ever just have that feeling where you want to run away? that is the feeling i am having now. I just want to disappear and not surface for a couple months. I had this drive to do so, and I think i want to. I can take time off, I dont have many cases. Johnathan can handle them. Oh yeah, Johnathan is my coworker, he is a great attorney as well. I just need to find out what to tell my family.
