"Next, Bare-su. Stand up." Snapping from her daydreaming state, Seo-yun turned to look at Su-hyeok. "Stand up." He stood, picking at his uniform pants in a nervous movement.
"Yes?"
Mrs. Park looked at the teenager. "What's with Bare-su?" She questioned. Joon-yeong chuckled from his seat.
"It's short for Barefoot Su-hyeok. Bare-su."
The girl's in the class giggle, Seo-yun just smiled. Her hand raised to hide her mouth, refusing to show her enjoyment of the conversation. "He hates wearing socks. Has since childhood." Su-hyeok sends a harsh glare towards her.
"I can smell it from a mile away." Dae-su joked, plugging his nose in an exaggerated manner. Giggles roamed through the room as Su-hyeok grew a light shade of pink.
"Okay. Bare-su. What did Nam-ra say a minute ago?" She hums, giving the boy a knowing look.
"Uh…"
The class mocked the boy. Saying his words in repeat.
"She…was absolutely correct. A hundred percent." Su-hyeok stood fidgeting as a nervous smile appeared on his lips.
"What was her absolutely correct answer then?" Mrs. Park leaned over her podium, holding herself up as she and the rest of the class stared down Su-hyeok. All of them awaiting the made up answer he was going to say.
He went to speak but was interrupted by a small bang at the door. Seo-yun snapped her head to it, her eyes widening at the sight of the bloody school girl forcing her way into the classroom.
"Hyeon-ju…"
"Hyeon-ju? Oh my god?!" Seo-yun stumbled from her desk, watching as the girl tumbled from losing her balance. Both her and Mrs. Park managed to catch her before she hit the ground.
"Is that blood?!" Seo-yun could hear Na-yeon, but chose to ignore her.
"Mrs. Park?" Her voice was hoarse. Clearly she hadn't drunk anything in the time she had been missing.
"Yeah, it's me. Do you recognize me?" Mrs. Park questioned, her eyes lingering on the girl. Hyeon-ju groaned.
"He grabbed me… The science teacher grabbed me and locked me up."
"He what?" Seo-yun gasped, her eyes widening. This couldn’t be real, this was like something in a movie. Seo couldn’t tear her eyes away from Hyeong-ju. The ugly looking marks that covered the corners of her mouth, wrist and possibly her ankles attracted the class's attention.
"Mr. Lee Byeong-chan?" The other student's gasped, their ears deceiving them. Some began sparking up random conversations dealing with the subject at hand. Many being about if the teacher made porn with her, this comment mostly coming from the male students.
"He tied me up…" She whimpered.
Seo-yun bit her lip. "Mrs. Park, we need to get Hyeon-ju to the nurse. Now." The teacher nodded.
"Let's go, okay? Hyeon-ju, you can get up right?” Mrs. Park turned to the class president. “Nam-ra! Make sure they study on their own. And please don't say anything to anyone until I come back and confirm the facts." Mrs. Park pulls Hyeon-ju up, letting Su-hyeok help as he had offered to carry her. On-jo and I-sak helped as well, as the rest of the students stayed back in the classroom.
"This is ridiculous! Why was she covered in blood?" Ji-min nodded at Na-yeon's comment. Everyone was curious about Hyeon-ju's disappearance. Na-yeon herself was doubtful about her story.
