Hold Me Close

***(y/n)'s POV***

I sat down properly listening to the song and looked outside the window as Nagisa continued singing and waving his hands to Calvin's song "Outside".

We're listening to my hard drive because we really have a long way to go.

I'm with Makoto, Rei, Rin, Nagisa, Haru, Ama, and Gou ((AN: I didn't add the -chan, -senpai and -san yet 'cause I think that's disturbing to read again and again.)) and we decided to swim on a waterfall so.. here we are.

We still have a 6 hours car ride and we're riding on a van. Of course, Ama-sensei is the one driving and Gou-san is siting on the passenger sit. On the middle row are Rei, Nagisa and 3 paper bags full of food. (especially Iwatobi cream bread and that pink strawberry jammed bun because, as Nagisa told me, it was his favorite.) On the second to the last row are Haru and me and on the last row are our stuff, Some potluck lunch, Makoto and Rin. They told us that they'll be the one looking after the food so it won't spill or something.

I stopped spacing out when I felt a warm hand held mine. As I turned to my left, It was Haru.

Me and Haru are actually dating for a year now. How did he liked/loved me? I don't know. I guess love does move in mysterious ways. ((AN: Song reference! XD)) I was even shocked, surprised or whatever, when he asked me out. I wasn't expecting someone to date me. I'm just a typical kind of girl. A hyper, Always smiling, retarded (I admit-), a stupid air-headed kind of girl while he's like a.. Dolphin prince with a blank face on and is obsessed with water.

I felt his hand squeeze mine, but I just smiled at him. He was just staring at me lovingly and I don't know why.

"What's wrong?" I whispered.

"Nothing." He said and loosen his grip.

We continued staring at each other but stopped when we heard chuckles.

I looked around and saw them staring at our hands.

I blushed madly and took my hand back.

"Haru-chan is so in love, huh?" Makoto said and chuckled.

I looked down and played with my fingers. This is so embarrassing.

"Makoto." Haru said plainly but they just continued laughing.

"Haru-chan is so cute when he's in love~" Nagisa said in a sing song voice.

I just took a small pillow and buried my face on it, slowly drifting to sleep.

I felt a tap on my shoulder but I just swat it away. "1 more hour." I said huskily. I hate being disturbed especially when I'm sleeping.

"(y/n), we're here." Haru said. I immediately opened my eyes and sat up straight.

I looked around and saw that Haru and I are the only one inside the van.

I huffed and went outside.

"(y/n)-chan!! You're finally awake!" Nagisa shouted.

I awkwardly scratched my head. Guess I slept for too long.

I ran towards them and smiled. "Sorry." I said with a peace sign.

They just giggled and payed for our entrance fee.

After we change to our swim suits, we went to the waterfalls. The "mother" waterfall, as they call it, is a little far and you have to ride a small boat made in bamboo to get there.

We carefully ride the boat and the person in charge pulled the rope so we can move towards it.

All you can hear are squeals from Gou-san and Ama-sensei and giggles from Nagisa. Makoto is holding Haru's arm since we can't let him swim yet. Water freak.

I just tightly held onto the wood because I'm actually scared to fall. Who would want to fall into a good 30 feet water? Maybe Haru would because he loves water.

I chuckled softly at that thought and Haru turned towards me. Guess he heard me.

"What's wrong?" He asked. I just shook my head and smiled.

Then the boat stopped exactly at the waterfall. It actually hurts if water starts attacking you like ants going wild and randomly biting people.

I noticed that Haru is trying to break free from Makoto's grasp so he let go and Haru, faster than a blink of an eye, jumped flawlessly into the water. I love it when he swims.

"Mako-chan! Rei-chan! Rin-chan! Lets gooo~" Nagisa shouted as he grab Rei and Makoto's wrist. He accidentally bumped Rin making him fall into the water then he jumped to the water pulling the other two.

"(y/n)-chan, aren't you going to swim?" I turned and saw Gou smiling at me.

"N-no thank you." I respond and waved my hands in disapproval.

"Why? It's a once in a life time experience!" Ama-sensei asked.

"I'm too scared." I pouted my lips and stared at the water.

Ama-sensei just nodded her head and sat down, watching the boys having fun.

I sat down at the edge of the boat and dipped my feet in the water. I giggled as I saw Rei with a kick board. He still sinks like a rock.

"What are you looking at?"

I yelped and saw Haru in front of me with his usual blank face.

"Swim." He said plainly as he grabbed my wrists.

"N-no! I'm scared." I whispered the last part because of embarrassment. Ugh.

"I'll hold you." He said and looked at me sincerely. Who can say no to this guy?

I sighed and pushed myself into the water and I moved my hands and feet so I can get back up. I felt something wrap on my waist. It was Haru's arms holding me like I'm something fragile that he shouldn't let go.

I looked at him straight in the eyes and gave him a sweet smile.

"Thank you." I said and softly pecked his lips making his cheeks pink.
