11 minutes earlier

I pull my car into McCollum Park. I see Gage's car and park next to it. Gage gets out of his car and opens my door.

"Thanks" I say. He smiles and kisses me.

"Umm." I say "Laura is probably following me so we should move."

"Okay" he says.

We walk around for about nine minutes when I stop him.

"We need to talk" I say.

"Okay" he say "About what?"

"Us." I say. " We haven't been talking lately and we're growing apart, so." I stop.

"So what?" he says

I take a deep breath. This is so hard. I can't believe I'm doing this. I have a feeling in my heart that this has to be done.

"I think that we should break up." I continue.

"What?" He exclaims. "Why?"

I mentally face palm. I thought I just said this.

"We really don't hang out anymore. I don't really see the point in dating anymore." I explain.

"You don't want to do that." He says his face getting about 5 shades darker and his voice getting deeper.

"Why?" I say hesitantly.

"Because I'm the one whose always been there. You're not dumping me for that stupid boy band prick."

"How do you know about that?"

"I was there."

"Well that's stalkerish." I say more to myself. "But what!?!?"

"Laura tweeted that you guys almost got hit by a car so I went to see if you were okay. "

"Well I'm obviously fine. But how did you even see us! We were in the hallway!"

"You were by the front door where I was."

"And you didn't knock or anything?"

"I was more concerned with the fact that my girlfriend was cheating on me with a boy band prick!"

"First of all, it's not a boy band! Second of all, he's not a prick! Third of all, we are over!"

"You really shouldn't have said that." He growls while moving closer.

I feel a sharp pain in my head and turn to see Gage holding a stick above his head. So I do the only logical thing... I scream.

[Laura's p.o.v]

We run halfway across the park when we see Gage and Kiley. Something's wrong.

Gage is holding Kiley and it looks like she's about to fall over. That's when I realize he's not holding her in the nicest way. It's more like the I-love-you-but-am-choking-you type of thing. Oh! He's choking her!

"Oh hell naw!" I say and see Ashley is already halfway there. "Thanks for waiting for me man!"

I run towards them and while Ashley tries to get Gage's hand off of Kiley's neck, I just pull him off by the shoulder and punch his jaw.

"Take that bitch!" I say in victory.

He tries to get up but I kick his ribs. He falls back down. Ashley grabs my attention when she says...
