I dragged my feet as I walked into the room.
"Did you find him?!" Stella asked walking over to me.
My lips started trembling and I felt like I was about to collapse.
"Zayn," She grabbed my arm and pulled me to her bed as I sat down.
"I-I'm s-sorry," I whispered. I had to be strong. For Stella. "Stella, the reason he is gone is because... he.. he is dead.." I stuttered. .
"Zayn, what do you mean he's..." I looked up at her. A tear slipped down her face, "How long has he been..?"
"Last night. After you came back he went for a walk and he fell down and couldn't get back up."
A sob escaped her lips as I pulled her into a hug. God, I hate seeing her like this. So fragile. So... Broken.
Me and Stella were laying in her bed, under the sheets. She was snuggled up to me sleeping peacefully. My arm was going a little numb, but I don't care. As long as she was asleep and not thinking about what's going on I'm happy.
I rested my head on hers and closed my eyes. I tried to nap but just couldn't do it. I had to much going through my mind.
Like, how did he die? Why did he have to die? Why couldn't it be me and not him?
"Zayn..." I heard a tired voice whisper, "Zayn," It said again, but this time more broken.
"I'm right here Stella. I'm right here." I held her tighter while she cried once again.
"Is.. Is it tr-true?" She whispered after a few minutes of sobbing.
"Yes. I'm sorry Stells. But, it is true."
She looked up at me. Her eyes didn't shine like they use to. Instead the were hurt and glossy.
I pulled her closer to me, "It's going to be okay," I whispered.
She pushed me away and walked to the bathroom. I watched her as she shut the door.
I walked over to the bathroom door and softly knocked, "Stella, please open up.." I said just above a whisper. No answer. "Stella, please..." I took a deep breath and slid down the door until I was sitting on the floor, "I know what you're going through Stells. My dad passed away when I was only eight, I thought my whole world was ending but after I went to concealing sessions for awhile I learned a lesson that everyone should learn, and that lesson is that life goes on.." Life goes on. Life goes on.
