"How could I be so irresponsible" he thought as he threw his hands onto his forehead and looked up at the sky.
After he finally recollected himself he grabbed his phone which was resting in his left back pocket. He went to the search bar and typed in "bus schedules from my location to UA high school"
After scrolling for a minute or two he realized that the next bus would arrive in thirty minutes. "Well that's just great i'm gonna miss most of next period" he was frustrated by the outcome of this but there wasn't much he could do. At least there was another bus coming at all. He looked around and sat down a nearby bench.
Today was partly cloudy so whatever parts of the sky were not covered by white puffy clouds, you could see the light blue sky peeking through. The sun was barely out and there was a nice breeze. The weather was nice enough where Izuku could sit and wait for the bus outside with no problems.
He looked across the street and noticed something fluttering on the ground. He couldn't make out what it was but it was dancing around almost as if it was being puppeted by some string. He squinted his eyes and leaned closer but he still couldn't make out what it was. And maybe it was the boredom or the overwhelming sense of curiosity he was feeling at the time but he decided to go check it out. He looked at his phone to see that only five minutes had passed. He grabbed his yellow backpack and swung it over his shoulder. After looking both ways, he crossed the street and as he got closer and closer to the dancing object on the ground he could finally tell what it was.
It was...
A leaf-
Yep.Thats all. Just a leaf that had fallen from the trees on the sidewalk nothing more and nothing less. Izuku bent down and picked up the leaf. He held it up to the sun examining it hoping that there was more to it than that. But nope. It was just a leaf. However as he was holding the leaf up he noticed something. Not something about the leaf but something about what was behind the leaf. A shop. A shop he never noticed was there. It appeared to be either a cafe or a bookstore or maybe even both.
It has a green sign outside that read:
"Today's deal grab one book and a drink for ten dollars!"
"So I guess its a bookstore and a cafe...cool" izuku thought to himself.
He looked at his phone which was still in his hand once more. "Still have 23 minutes to spare" he sighed as he approached the bookstore slash cafe. The door to the shop wasn't like a normal door you would see on most shops it looked like the front door to someone's house. It had a gold knob and it was clearly a wooden door with a sort of black mahogany stain. The only difference between this door and most peoples front door is that this door had a big window taking up most of the upper half of the door kinda like a regular shop door. It was cool though it gave the shop a nice feel even before you enter. Kinda like a "your at home vibe". Izuku put his hand on the door knob after studying the door. He turned the knob, opening the door. He was instanley hit with the best mixture of smells. It was hard to describe how amazing the smell was. It was like a mix of new books and various coffee flavors with a cinamony smell encapsulating it all. He closed his eyes and breathed in slowly taking in the scent. After opening his eyes he began to take in his surroundings. In front of him were the sides of tall shelves filled with books. The shelves were facing the right and there were about five of them. To his left there were bean bags and chairs it looked like a nice cozy area to read. To his right was what appeared to be the cash register and behind the counter where the cash register was there were all the things you would find in a cafe.
"What a nice little spot" He thought to himself as he began to walk around still taking in his surroundings.
He proceeded to walk to the book shelves. He looked up and down each row. He wasn't a big fan of classic literature he was simply looking for some manga. And he got lucky because they had a whole manga section. His eyes lit up as he examined each manga they had. They had manga all the way back to the classics to more newer manga like tokyo revengers and demon slayer. They even had the manga My hero academia.
