◇ Location: Kiffel City // District 22 // Lunar Light Office

◇ Time: Next Morning

It's been a day since I've rescued the Lunar Light Office from a small group called the Sub-Mist. It seemed that they were just a branch of a massive tree within the outer district. There're a few ways the outcome of me murdering the group would cause. If I'm lucky, then these small fries won't ring the dinner bell of someone fiercer for revenge. And if not, then they might start sending more small branches or a stronger section of a huger syndicate.

Regardless, I still have to be cautious and obtain more soul or else if I fought them unprepared, then me alongside the whole office would no longer exist within District 22. So, my plan is simple in the office. To request for job that involved combat, even if it's Unknownity. Could I absorb their souls? If they even have one.

◇ "Indeed, faithful one. All Unknownities comes with a soul, that is how they function with their unique and mysterious powers."

Good info, EnNn! And now since I know that. I perhaps have to focus in between humans and Unknownity. I want to experiment the taste of the city's unknown source of creatures and danger. The souls of which the scientist self I am had done tons of experiments with a lot. It might taste good though.

◇ "Faithful one, your taste of the soul is just your imagination. If you want, I can make them taste like maple syrup and honey, psychologically."

Oh, right, I'm drooling over something I don't eat. Whatever, the sensation is just as good as tasting a rich dish from the center district's restaurant!

"Uhm, Suki, I have good news and bad news. Well, mainly good for us though but I think it still will work!" My friend of the office, the one leading the Lunar Light, Cerlia. She rushed over to me with a file in her hands, smiling.

Cerlia... A blonde hair woman whose surprisingly about six inch taller than me and had viridescent eyes. The Office's uniform she wore consisted of being dark blue with few shades of gray and some shadowy lavender rim.

It's been a day, it seemed that she had recovered from yesterday's raid. That or she's ignoring it for now. I've helped her and the rest of the office buried the dead one, except for the member who attacked them. One of the office men had a great idea and decided to toss them into the sewer which became a funny idea to lighten the mood.

"What'd you mean, Cerlia? Don't tell there wasn't anything involving killing bad people?"

"W-well, that's on the spot. There's no killing on this one but we got a request that would provide the office a great start! It's nothing simple, but I think this office could handle, especially with you in it."

"Go ahead. What's the task of something that does not involve murder and such according to you~?" I leaned back on a metal chair; it was pretty uncomfortable, but I love it when I feel like almost tripping backward.

"We're investigating!"

"Investigating? Isn't that a job for detective?" I sighed and quickly leaned forward in panic as I felt like tripping.

"We fixer do a lot of different job. But it's not like a murder scene or anything. There's a mystery that comes to this investigation job. And it seemed like the person who requested this had been bothered by someone stealing his things. Machine part, pretty much. That means, you might find some fun out of it!"

Hmm, a thief stealing someone's engineering parts. I would imagine myself in war with a cyborg but that's very unlikely. I bet it's just a bunch of simple Scavs that would make a nice appetizer for my power lust.
