CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

CRUEL

[SEASON TWO]

Loud whining and begging echoed from the dark corner of the competition ground, a spot that seemed tailor-made for teaching a lesson to the guys who dared lay a finger on their Sir and Miss.

"Agh! Ow! I'm sorry!"

"Shut the hell up! Hands down, I said! You better put those hands down before I break them..." Bobby threatened as he held his hand menacingly, poised to unleash fury upon these men. The Scorpion sprinter trembled from head to toe, his two teammates not in any better shape.

"Come on, man! What's your problem?!"

"What's my problem? Why don't we start with the race? You cheating bastards! If our Young Master had so much as a scratch during that race, we would've buried you alive, you punks! So, where's the idiot who messed with our Miss?"

"C-Choi! He's in the hospital! I swear!" the guy with the duck mask screamed.

Bobby hissed and glanced at his boss, who clenched his teeth in annoyance. "We're going to visit him after the match," he told his henchmen before turning his attention back to the two boys, who flinched as his gaze bore into them. "Seriously, who... the heck are you...?" the younger one stammered, fear evident in his voice.

"Would you like to find out, huh?" Bobby replied in a low, menacing tone. "Bunch of punks thinking they can do whatever they want... I got pissed off watching that damn race," the man with the scar continued. "Why'd you pull that crap with our Master and Mistress and their gang...?"

"Wh-Who the heck are you talking about?" the bigger one repeated, his nervousness palpable. "You mean those punks, I mean guys from Hummingbird...?" the duck man said in shock. Bobby growled at their stupidity, his hand poised for another punch.

"You're just figuring that out now, you dipshits?! Yes, them!"

"Zou! Let's head home and eat your new recipes!"

"Huh! I told you it's not ready yet, Oppa! And you should be going to the hospital instead of thinking about food!"

Bobby and the scarred man froze as they heard the familiar voices of their Master and Miss. As quickly as they could, they grabbed their victims' heads and turned their backs to the wall, hiding from both Kangs.

"Hey, face the wall!"

"What?"

"Shut up and stay still!"

From the other side, Arezou and Kang halted, their attention snagged by faint voices belonging to Bobby and her other bodyguards. However, they couldn't find them or hear their voices anymore. "Hey, wasn't that Bobby's voice?" Arezou inquired of her brother, her tone filled with confusion. She held onto his hand, a gesture reminiscent of their childhood. He nodded, equally perplexed, scanning their surroundings. "I was sure it was his voice..." he murmured in response.

Yuna, noticing that they were falling behind, looked back at them with a furrowed brow. "Hey, what's the hold-up?" she asked, her confusion mirrored by her expression. Both Kangs turned to the girl, their faces mirroring identical puzzlement. "Huh? I thought I saw..." they both trailed off, glancing to the side where they believed Bobby had been standing, only to find the space empty. "Huh? Did we see things?" Arezou's brother queried, still puzzled.

Before Arezou could respond, Vinny interjected with concern. "Hey, where did those punks go?" he questioned, scanning the area for any sign of them. Arezou's expression shifted to one of annoyance. "Are they waiting in some corners for us again?" she quipped. Dom chimed in, agreeing with her, "Where are they? I thought they'd wanna go for round two after the race..."
