When Skullpaw woke up he was back in the Reedclan camp. He was confused, as he looked around he saw Moonstar sitting over Redscar's dead body. But she was already dead, he thought. He walked up to Moonstar and sat next to her. She was crying, "Why did you have to die? Y-you were my deputy, my friend". She toppled over, tears were streaming down her face. Skullpaw laid down next to her. He saw the sadness in Moonstar's eyes.

He tried to comfort her "It's ok he was a brave warrior". Moonstar didn't seem to notice. Moonstar stood up, confusion laced her eyes. " Wait a minute" she looked down at Redscar. She turned over his paw, she moved down her head and pulled a small tuft of bright ginger fur from in between his claws. A look of realization filled Moonstar's face.

"Clawstrike..." she whispered while turning her head. It was too late Clawstrike pounced, pinning her to the ground. "You killed him!!!" Moonstar screamed. Clawstrike raked her belly, Moonstar screeched in pain. Moonstar feebly scratched at Clawstrike. He lunged forward, ripping out Moonstar's throat. She let out one last scream.

Clawstrike walked out of the leader's den, "I am no longer Clawstrike I am Clawstar". His voice boomed through the camp "Moonstar's dead, so is Redscar. That makes me leader anyone who disagrees will join Moonstar". The whole clan just stood there in awe. Burningtail piped up "you monster", he said. Clawstar lept at Burningtail, but Burningtail dodged. He pounced on Clawstar, grazing his shoulders. But Clawstar was too strong. He pounced and quickly pinned him down. He slowly clawed down his belly. Letting Burningtail relish in the pain. Even though nobody could see or hear him, he still came up to his father. A stream of tears were streaming down Skullpaw's face. "I love you dad" he mewed to himself. As Burningtail let out his last words he said "Tell Skullpaw I love him". Skullpaw stepped back, he thought about all the great things his father had done for him. He really loved him.

"Ahhhhh!!!". He heard a scream coming from the entrance. He looked over to see himself. He ran up to see his dead father. "Dad?" He questioned. Clawstar leapt in front of him "he's dead, that's what will happen if you don't listen to me". Clawstar let out a smirk. Clawstar chuckled and left. Skullpaw looked at himself, he remembered when this happened. Suddenly the forest started swirling around him.

He found himself in a place where flowers and forest met. It looked like a camp of some sort. He smelled a familiar scent. He turned his head, "Dad?" he questioned. He was staring into Burningtail's eyes, "Hello son" he responded. Burningtail looked at him " I have something important to say". Skullpaw looked back at him. "You need to battle Clawstar in leafbare, he will be weakest then" Burningtail added. Skullpaw felt relieved, it was only greenleaf. Burningtail continued, "I have a prophecy, when you settle around the leaves a scent of adventure flows through the breeze, guiding you into the trees, too bring you victory"

Moonstar walked up to them "Clawstar must be stopped, he has way more plans. The clans are truly in danger." Skullpaw trembled, fear overwhelmed him. The clans weren't just something he left behind, they were his friends, his family. To think that they could be in danger gave him the chills. "I-I won't let you down" he warily said. Moonstar nodded at him, "we trust you with this mission".

Skullpaw still felt nervous with all the pressure that was put on him. He tried to sit up straighter. He took in a deep breath and nodded at Moonstar and Burningtai. They smiled back at him, "starclan is calling us, we need to go back" they said. They stood there for a moment then suddenly the world started spinning around him. He took one last moment to take in the view of the beautiful forest. He took a deep breath of the forest scent. When he woke up he could still catch the scent of the forest and Burningtail
