Chapter 3

 Skullpaw got up to stretch and quickly went to tell Nestpaw about his dream. He walked to the other side of the bush and quickly woke up Nestpaw. Nestpaw tieredly mew "What do you want from me". Skullpaw proceeded to tell Nestpaw about his dream. He told her about the flowery forest, the prophecy, Moonstar, and Burningtail. But before Nestpaw could speak, Spiderpaw announced that they had to continue their journey.

While walking they couldn't talk because they had to hold the herb packets. Nestpaw gave him a worried look. They walked for hours up stream. Skullpaw stopped when he saw a place that looked exactly like the place in his dream. Spiderpaw set down his herb packet and shouted " Skullpaw, keep up". Skullpaw dropped his herbs and replied "No, this is the place I saw in my dream". Nestpaw and Strikekit ran up to Skullpaw and Featherpaw, Lightpaw, and Spiderpaw followed.

Spiderpaw piped up "So I guess we make our camp here". Skullpaw nodded his head. They made a pile of the herbs. Spiderpaw announced"We should organize hunting patrols". "Can I come?" Skullpaw questioned. "NO" Spiderpaw screeched "you need to take care of Strikekit" Spider paw added. "oh...ok" Skullpaw responded. Spiderpaw continued "Lightpaw and Featherpaw come with me". Skullpaw watched as they padded of into the distance.

Nestpaw walked up to him on "I've been thinking about your dream. I think it means that we need to explore beyond, maybe we'll find more cats or other stuff."Nestpaw mewed. Srikekit walked up to Skullpaw "can you give me a badger ride" Skullpaw jokingly meowed "No you're to big, you're almost 4 moons old. If you want we can play hide and seek with Nestpaw". "Ok" Strikekit squeaked.

Skullpaw and Nestpaw quietly sprinted to their hiding spots. Nestpaw hid in the underbrush and Skullpaw hid in a tree hollow. When Strikekit was done counting he started sniffing around. Skullpaw watched him pace in circles until he caught a sent. Skullpaw leaned closer as Srikekit waddled through the underbrush. He pounced and landed on Nestpaw and yelled "gotcha". Strikekit started looking for Skullpaw's sent. Skullpaw didn't move a muscle, he didn't want Strikekit to hear him. Skullpaw watched as Stikekit padded up to him and bowed him on the nose. Skullpaw let out a chuckle but was interrupted by Spiderpaw announcing his arrival, "we have freshkill, anof for everybody".

Skullpaw stepped up "I believe that me and Strikekit should be fed first, because the warrior code says that kit and queens should be fed first ''. Spiderpaw let out a Singh and responded "fffffine". Skullpaw walked to the freshkill pile and picked out a juicy mouse. He padded back to Strikekit and dropped the mouse. They shared the mousse together.

Once they were done Strike kit trotted to a shady patch of grass to take a nap. Skullpaw walked up to Spiderpaw and announced that they should get to work and build a camp, "This sunny spot in the forest is no place for a camp we need to build dens, make nests, and establish borders". Spiderpaw blinked and sighed, "your right I'll start a patrol" Spiderpaw admitted.

"Everyone gather in the middle of the camp for a meeting" Spiderpaw called. All the cats gathered around Spiderpaw. "Me and Skullpaw have been discussing the future of our group and we think it's best and that we need borders to be established" Spiderpaw's voice boomed across the clan, "Me, Lightpaw, Featherpaw, and Nestpaw will go establish borders". A small voice piped up " Skullpaw should go, it was his idea" Strikekit squeaked. "Shut your mouth kit he needs to take care of you" Spider paw shouted, "The kit's right Spiderpaw I'll stay instead of him" Nestpaw growled, Spiderpaw flicked his tail in annoyance but he nodded "We leave at sunhigh" he mewed.

Skullpaw padded over to the freshkill pile and picked out a nice juicy squirrel. He bit into the squirrel and let the swirl of flavors explode through his mouth.
