"Jonathan come on just please go," you say while almost tugging Jonathan's arm off.
"Y/n you know how I feel about going to any school dances." He said taking his arm back and crossing them.
"Please Jonathan, I signed up for it for community hours and I need someone to go with" you made a pouting face " please Nancy is going with Steve, so you have to be my date!" you beg.
"Y/n if I go with you, will you promise to spend a whole day with me doing whatever I want?" "YES, oh my god, yes I'll do anything just fucking go with me please" You slightly shake him while nodding your head.
He shakes his head and asks "what are we wearing?" You jump up and down yelling "yes thank you Jonjon." "Don't ever call me that again y/n/n" you hug him tightly and kiss him on the cheek.

You were now putting on your gorgeous blue dress that your mom recently picked up from the mall for you. You finished doing your light to no make up look on and head downstairs and walked out of the door.
You waited patiently for Jonathan to pick you up at your doorstep. "Mike hurry your ass up, Jonathan is almost here!" You yell for mike to hurry up cause he is not gonna mess up the night for you because this was the one night that you actually got to make your best friend your date to a dance.
You've been best friends with Jonathan for almost 6 years, those 6 years were the best of your life other than dating billy for about 5 months. But that's beside the point. You and Jonathan have done so much stuff together, Jonathan almost got killed by billy for being so close to you, but he is still here taking care of you more than anyone else did.
Heck, your parents were barely home because of work trips or just out cheating on each other, and mike never really liked you, you tried to build a relationship with him, but ever since he snuck eleven in and hid her from you and your parents, the relationship seemed to be thrown in the trash. So Jonathan was really the only person you had. So him taking you to this dance just heighten your feelings for him.
Everything heightens your love for him. One time he held your hand while you guys were running from Eddie for making fun of his club, let's say Eddie can run really fast.
You snapped out of your train of thought, to mike pulling you to the car and you finally realized that you're about to be in the car with your crush who you think doesn't like you back, who is also taking you to the dance. But only if you knew how much he loved you. He loved you so much he'd go against billy every day just to have you as his best friend.
"Well hello my beautiful y/n/n," Jonathan says while taking your hand and opening the car door for you. Before you sat down he kissed your hand, you blushed and said thank you. "Oh my god love birds please get a room." Mike said getting into the back "shut up mike, you know you are about to do the same thing with el" you said rolling your eyes. Jonathan ran to the other side, getting in and driving to the middle school.

We arrived at the dance. Mike said bye, got out and ran inside while Jonathan was being the gentleman he was and opened the door for you and walked you in, hand in hand to the entrance. You looked up at him and smiled to yourself while resting your head on his shoulder. You both signed in as volunteers and walked to the punch table, helping pass out punch while the kids partied. Steve started cracking jokes, making the night one of the best.
But then one of your favorite slow songs came on, every breath you take, so you decided to take Jonathan to the dance floor and you start to dance with him. You laid your head on his chest, and start to dance with him. "Jonathan, you know I love you right." You say while listening to his heart start to slow. "Like I really love you, I've loved you ever since I met you. Like when you helped me up when billy tripped me over my skates." Your ears started to get red a little. "I love you so much Jonathan, and I want you to be in my life forever, I want to be more than best friends."
You look up at him. You can feel his heart start to pick up. You looked up and realize he has been staring at you the whole time. "Yes y/n I'd be the luckiest person on planet earth to have you be mine and only mine" you smile and pull yourself up to kiss him on his lips. " I love you so much y/n/n," he says moving his hands to your face and deepening the kiss.
